My pc specs:

CPU:Intel E5200 2.5ghz(Accirding to intel website it uses 65watt.As its been like 5 years I am assuming 70watt now)
Mainboard:Gigabyte G31
Ram-2GB DDR3
HDD:Samsung SATA 250GB
PSU:Corsair CX750
GPU:Sapphire 280X dual-x overclocked edition

I heard 280X uses 260watt power during mining, not sure though. Can I add another 280x on this psu considering all the other hardware's needs?

is possible, your system needs ~500-550w.
for example, my rig 2*asus r9 280x, celeron 1620, 8gb, 320gb, PSU corsair AX760 consumes 500w from outlet without overclocking

If the AX is pulling 500 at the wall, internally it's about 460W (before conversion losses).  Buy a Kill-a-watt to measure at the wall pulls.
