Hello,

There's a general topic about AMD Ryzen CPUs, but I think the Ryzen APUs are specific enough to get their own topic. Their specificity is of course, due to their integrated Vega 11 cores.

I'd like here to discuss about the way Ryen G owners use their APU, whith what hardware, which OS, miners...

My 2400G is fitted on a X470 mobo (gigabyte), with 8GB 2400MHz RAM. The OS is Win 10-X64 build 1803. The mobo can share up to 16GB RAM with the Vega cores (yep 16 !!). AMD drivers are the 18.5.1. By defaut, even unused, the mobo reerves 2GB of RAM for the Vega cores, if they're disable with yours, get into your bios, enable the IGP and affect 64MB or less, then disable the IGP so that you can get the maximum available RAM.

I'm mining a bit on cryptonight algos, don't expect much because of the limited amount of L3 cache, only 4MB. You can't have a rather fast IGP and lots of L3 cache on the same die.
Around 160-170H/s on cryptonight V7, 80H/s with heavy.

There are a few know issues with the win 10 1803 build, such as ATIwinflash 2.77 being inoperant, so don't expect bios moding your GPUs AND using the 2400G as a display card, there's an anoying choice to make.

With the previous 2018 Q2 drivers, having the 2400G as a display I was not able to mine with the Vega cores, both XMR Stack (2.42) and Cast XMR refused to work. So no cryptonight mining for me.
Regarding ETASH, Phoenix miner was able to downlaod / build the kernels but with a 60MB/s transfer (my bios moded RX 570s get up to 600MB/s while creating the DAG).

I'd like to know if other 2200G/2400G are able to mine with the Vega cores, if so may you please describe your hardware and software.

Regards
