Premine: 4.54%
Do any of you realise how astronomical this figure is for a currency?
Don't waste your time here then I don't waste my time. I post in threads like then to warn new members who may think this coin, and coins like this, are not scams. That makes you the own of truth? Why should I believe in you? You can be scam as well I could be a scam? What am I trying to scam you of? Posting in a thread? Also, what do you mean by believing me? The Dev said so himself/herself, "4.54% pre-mine". I merely highlighted that text so people can really think about it and try and soak in the truly astronomical figure that number really is. Definitely you are not going to scam me, but you could some day....some how....Thank you good kind sir for high lightening that for us...I'll not feed you no more!!!

that is a lot of premine but lets see how much transparency there is to what they do with it. if they hold it and give to people for work, and not dump it when it hits an exchange we will be ok,
since the real question is if it will be dumped as soon as it hits a market ruining the coin for the short term for the first miners,
thing is if you do not mine coins and dump them right away, (pump and dump) then I think it will be ok for those who hold out for the market to stablize for a good coin. the fact that there are only 66 coins following the suit of 42 I guess is going to make them the second in the chain of new limited edition coins, so it will probably do as well as lite coin did compared to bitcoin, so do not expect 1000 bitcoin for a 66, like 42, but maybe 100 as a spike sounds possible. then dropping to about 20 to 50 btc per coin in value in a year or so.

With the amount of coins I would consider 1% to be a HUGE premine let alone 4.54%.

We were all newbies once. So...
Could someone explain "Pre-mine" to me? Lots of complaints about this coin's 4.54%, and other coins don't have one.

It really doesn't matter what the amount of coins is. 4.54% is 4.54%

It means that when the miners start mining, dev(s) will already have 4.54% of all coins to ever exist in their wallets. It could be used for promotions & payments for services and/or they could just dump it on exchange as soon as the coin gets to some exchange driving the price down for a what might be a long time (if it ever recovers, but they usually do)... So it's a matter of trust. The dev is a newbie, so no trust build here yet... He may be trustworthy or not... I do not say one way or the other as I cannot know.

Wow, that does seem high. If you think in terms of a business, it doesn't sound that high for the owners of the startup. But then again, those people usually are transparent about who they are and what roles they play in that startup. That type of transparency I think is needed for something like this, and then the "pre-mine" wouldn't seem so bad if it was, say, Bill Gates launching a coin with a 10% pre-mine. You know he won't dump it the first chance he gets. We were all newbies once. So...
Could someone explain "Pre-mine" to me? Lots of complaints about this coin's 4.54%, and other coins don't have one.
#19 comment the reason Thanks for the reasoning (it is for giveaways, promotions, etc). But still, what's the guarantee that it's only for giveaways if we don't know who you are and who else is involved?

The dev should have premined 0.66% or 0.66 coins and everybody would be a happy cruncher. Still I think it's a bit of a 42 coin rip-off.

.66% would be exactly as it should be Definitely 42 ripoff (as well as 21coin probably which too is a ripoff 42 That doesn't matter AFAIK that much. It's how the dev promotes the coin, how the community reacts, how will it attract new people and services/games/pool ops and many many more details... I AM number's 42 fan if you know what I mean But 66 might be more popular due to route 66 reference (just a thought) because apart from geeks and sci-fi fans (groups which probably overlap a lot:) not many people understand 42 jokes See dogecoin, it is kinda stupid, but it sticks out of the plethora of altcoins in existence a lot! Anyway ... it might be a long ride on 66 I am a bit suspicious of the premine, but only time will tell.
