Coinbase isn't a wallet - it's an exchange. You shouldn't plan to keep a significant amount of coins on an exchange for any length of time. Have a read of this thread in the Beginners' section which should answer all your questions: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

Keeping your coins in an exchange like coinbase is not advisable as they can get hacked at any time and you would end up losing your coins. Using a wallet like the one on bitcoin.com is a good idea. They let you keep your private key and your phrase yourself. That is the safest way to store your coins. If you do not own the private key to a wallet, then you do not own the wallet.

I am using https://blockchain.info/wallet. Many of my friends are using this wallet. I feel safe using it. It is also a well-known wallet. You can try it.There is also a coinomi wallet, which can hold a lot of altcoins in addition to bitcoin and is a mobile APP wallet.

I think that you need to choose between the type wallet. If you think that a hardware wallet is good, then you can choose Electrum. If you therefore need a wallet for Ethereum or ERC-20 tokens, you can use Metamask or MyEtherwallet.

Keep in mind that if its an online wallet, its always not safe, someones going to break that site one day and we'll see more complains about it, its just like putting your coins in an exchange. In that case why not put in binance instead so you can at least sell and buy back to profit.

coinbase have bitcoin wallet at the same time a exchange site but you don't own the private key. look here https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. you can't trust exchange sites even though they are trusted.

The reliability of cryptocurrency wallets is a relative concept. If you store your funds correctly, then in principle any wallet is reliable. Just break the amount of different wallets and exchanges

Electrum isn't hardware wallet, that was Desktop wallets. Like the other said, keeping our coins on exchange or web wallet equal to saving our money in the other person.

Did you mean you are using an exchange wallet since all this while to get your tokens? Despite several warnings that you shouldn't use an exchange Wallet fill any form be it airdrop or bounty. The implication is that you might lose your coin if it's not traded in coinbase. There are better wallet you can use like MEW, Metamask. You can also create a wallet on imtoken.

It is not a wallet, and other exchanges are also not exchange. You should not trust a third party for storing your coins.

I don't encourage you to keep your coins here on the areas that they can be stolen by hacking. Utilize wallets where there is a private key, as I would like to think, it is the most secure wallets for putting your coins. better wallet you can utilize like MEW, Metamask. You can likewise make a wallet on imtoken. Utilizing a wallet like the one on bitcoin.com is a smart thought. They let you keep your private key and your expression yourself. That is the most secure approach to store your coins.

Coin base is good. If you want adequate security, you can use hardware wallets like trezor or ledger nano. You can also use wallets like mycelium. Its a good and trusted Wallet. You can also use blockchain.info as well too

I think the best wallet that exists at the moment is a hardware wallet. For beginners, enough and MyEtherWallet.
