I don't know if this is just a publicity stunt by Ashton Kutcher to really put the spotlight on Ripple or the whole crypto for that market. But what I know is that Ashton has a lot of investments on crypto and even supports a lot of startup companies and he is a entrepreneur. But my question is why Ripple though? Does it mean that the is a bag holder and really wanted to pump it again? Lol.

one ripple is about half a dollar it isn't worth a lot but it's the 3rd largest crypto right now because of its huge market cap at $22 billion.

We don't know why ripple, maybe he has too much ripple and decided to donate some. It's possible that it could get pumped but right now all of the top coins are in a bad shape including ripple it doesn't seem like there would be some pumping going to happen.
