eBay is starting to crackdown on selling of Bitcoins, and there won't be much profit to be made for that much longer. I'm looking to capitalize on the inflated prices people are willing to pay on ebay. That said, I am well aware of all the problems and pitfalls with deal with Paypal.

That said, there has to be an "intelligent" way to sell something in ebay, but use code words (for example) so that the buyer knows that they are getting a Bitcoin or other altcoins.

I've seen people list that they are selling "one penny, and gifting .1 Bitcoin" but this is way too obvious.

Thus is a smart community, and there will be plenty of people who will say "If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, don't transact Bitcoin with paypal." But no where else can you find that kind of markup. So as a smart community, can't we come up with a decent system for selling bitcoin in ebay to capilize on the generous markups?

Ebay are cracking down on Bitcoin selling?
Don't think so, they just started a dedicated Virtual Currency category a few days ago...

I have tried several ways, and eventually all listings were taken down. They have even rewritten the guidelines to say that it doesn't matter if it is digitally OR PHYSICALLY delivered. After I adamantly described the difference between a dvd and a movie download. I have spent hours on the phone with them, because as you said the markup was great and they sold! At the end of the day bitcoin is a less expensive alternative to paypal, who charge 3%, and are owned by eBay. And i also find that most of the people that I talk to are just ignorant about Crypto anyway. So I have sold on eBay in these manners, pure digital with confirmations, then physical usb and wallets, then free with world coin. Ebay says the only way to list is in the virtual currency category which is a classified ad format and costs 9.95 and doesn't allow for bidding or buying and seems to be more localized. Not only that ebay warned me against trying to accept bitCoin as payment as it is not considered acceptable.

Haha, agreed. Oxymoron in the title.

To be honest, I think the banks as well as companies like ebay are going to use a new tactic now where they say "Come on in! We love Bitcoin as well" which is a bit like a bunch of really obvious burly muggers standing in an alleyway with forced grins on their faces going "Come over here mate! We just want to talk to you!" honestly, don't trust these fuckers, you should be able to trust another bitmit if we ever see one though.

Even if it was sold for PayPal then the disputes from some customers start, mostly not all of them but maybe 5-10% of buyers or even more and PP policies are with buyer's side specially with BTC and similar products.
