Playing with clock speeds.

RX 570 8GB Nitro+ Hynix 1750 straps
2200MHz mem 0 mem errors
1400MHz core = 29.9 Mh/s
1340MHz core = 29.5 Mh/s
1250MHz core = 28.8 Mh/s
1150MHz core = 26.9 Mh/s

Of course lower clock speeds means less power consumption and less heat.

I don't remember core clocks having that much affect on my RX 470/480 last year.

What do you/would you run your cards at in your house?

I have 6x Nitro+ cards on a 1200W PRIME Gold PSU.

I would like lowest power consumption with highest hashrate.

Maybe you need to add one other thing:
I would like lowest power consumption with highest hashrate and less heat. (I want it)  Grin

My RX rig running at 29.xx - 30 (2100-1360). I more prepare for stability.

I'm not sure what you are saying. I think you are saying my want for less heat is not realistic? And that I should aim for stability more than anything?

Also, do you mod voltage in bios? If so, what do you use? I ran 950mV for a few months both core and mem.

-snip-

Of course not, I'm just adding one more condition that you don't write above on your last statement.
I mean this:

I would like lowest power consumption with highest hashrate.

Even I was able to reduce much heat at my rig with a few things, so that was realistic after all.

And that I should aim for stability more than anything?

That's me, I didn't say you should do that. But for me stability is important.

Okay thanks. I just found my settings.

2200 mem
1340 core
950mV in bios (both mem&core)
30.6 Mh/s
~101W in HWInfo GPU Chip Power
0 Mem errors so far

You can probably get that vcore down to 860-900 depending on the card without issue

Your core speed should be 1100-1175 imo.. i'd test 1100 then 1150 then 1175 an see where increase in core speed stops increasing hashrate.

1340 is way to high for Ethash algo

I am managing some friends mining computers and they are all on the RX 570/580 Sapphire Nitro+. The 8 GB version with Samsung memory without BIOS mod does directly strange enough for me 28.9 mhsh. Anyway I modified their BIOS and now they are getting 31.6 mhsh stable.

Core clock 1150 or 1200 (1200 for 31.6 mhsh but even 1150 reach up near to 31)
Memory clock, (as high as it can run without errors, Samsung memory reachs 2250 mhz easily)

Well funny thing is I was using Claymore v10.0, but someone told be about PheonixMiner 2.8c and now I get 31.1Mh/s.

I redid the settings

1750 straps
1150MHz core 875 mV
2200MHz mem 900mV
HWInfo64 GPU Power = 89W
Kill-A-Watt Meter = 171W - 50W (tested system consumption) = 121W GPU Power draw
29-30 Mh/s
