I am really interested in getting involved within groups and generally sharing ideas, opinions and the future of Cryptocurrency in it's developing peek.

Anyone aware of such meetups in London?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

There was one today in spitalfields. Not sure what the purpose was, I got there a bit late, and there was a few coffee fuled chats going on but nothing i could get involved with.

I'm kinda looking also.

I discovered a website titled as meetup.com, where lots of groups form to attend activities or form discussions in a local pub...
Better than nothing, I just can't squeeze it in around my schedule since I slave for money atm.

So you are interested about the cryptocurrency as well?
