I have come to the conclusion that anyone who brings up the volatility argument and no other arguments are too lazy to take the time to learn and understand bitcoin.  They just see wild swings in price and draw conclusions from that, and they never say that most of the volatility has been UP.

I agree that bitcoin is not yet ready for primetime mostly because of end user security, but volatility is just a lousy argument.

I suppose you could say that Bitcoin isn't mature enough yet as obviously it needs time to grow and be accepted by the mainstream and this will take time. It's not going to happen over night with such a new and revolutionary concept.

Stability will come naturally, but volatility is to be expected with a concept/currency as young as Bitcoin, but it is a weak argument against it.

Stability will begin come when the mining game starts to wind down, maybe after the next reward halving, but this ship has a long way up to go first
