my cgminer crashes when i put my antminer over clocked

i can use 0781 and 0881 but when when i put it on 0981 it crashes and when i put it on 0A81 it never connects

any ideas why or how to fix it please

Are you using bfgminer?

type x0 in front of any hex number.
