Why do we need an escrow at all if you ask poc before kyc? Escrow also allows to find consensus proving funds and coins if both parties don't trust each other.
Is it really necessary to poc first? And then you will charge 19% discount and send btc first ultimatum after all. Love that time wasting
The problem is most of suppliers won't even listen to "how much for 1000btc" thousands times a day and getting silence as a respond. LOI perfectly describes itself. It looks like you are saying "psss, show me some, and i promise i will buy it and give all the sh** you want, just show me"

POC is so I don’t waste my time with scammers. I agree that if buyer and seller trust each other then escrow is not necessary but usually one party requires it at least for the first transaction. Anyway, if you are interested and you can provide me POC I can send you a LOI.

Honestly, why don't you just use an exchange? You're willing to pay 1% when most exchanges would charge <0.25%. If you're not willing to give an exchange proper KYC documents why would you be okay with giving it to some random on the internet? Also, most people would want to charge a much higher fee for a (somewhat) anonymous buyer. It doesn't make sense.

So if you take that in account as well as slippage on most exchanges it actually make sense for both parties to agree on a price based on the spot on a arbitrary exchange at a given time. I understand that there is a lot of scammers hanging out here but the process I described above is as transparent as it can be. Pardon me if I just assume it's a scam and it works out. This just isn't the place to buy $7MM of Bitcoins, and if you read the forum history you would know that.

Why not just go to Bitcoin meetups in the USA and meet people face to face? I have met some of the most interesting people to trade with at these meetups. I have also built up a very good trust relationship with them and they introduced me to some of the early bitcoiners with a lot of coins.

As you said, when you buy in bulk, some of these people are willing to go beneath the going rate of open markets & exchanges and you do not have to deal with fees. Hope you can navigate through the minefield of scammers around here.
