Hi everyone,
I'm new to bitcoins.I've been hitting the faucets for a couple of months now.So far it's the only way thats got me any satoshis so far.
thank you faucet owners.
My first attempt to buy bitcoins was just before Christmas. I set up a paypal account(I know,I know..I hadn't read the warnings yet).I don't want to give out my bank details so I go to a site that says it swaps Ukash to PayPal and to BTC.
http://ukash-pin.com/index.php I got a Ukash voucher for £50,used the site and was instantly ripped-off(lol,a fool and his money....) Result=£50 loss.
My second attempt to buy bitcoins was a few days ago.I set up a Neteller account and loaded £50 onto it,contacted someone on this site to buy 0.1 btc. Everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to send the money from my neteller account to his neteller account . Neteller wouldn't let me do it. I complained to them and they say that if I load my Neteller account with Ukash vouchers then I cant send the funds to anyone except registered merchants. Result= no bit coins but i loaded £50 onto partycasino instead.
I'm going to roll £50 on 1 roll on the roulette,if i win ill bet the max again.
My third attempt will probably be this week.I'm going to meet someone in person and use good old cash.
Speaking as a newbie to bitcoins and as someone that is not very computer literate, if buying bitcoins stays as complicated/irritating as it is now then i think that it will always remain as a something thats traded on the stock market only.
I've not given up on bitcoins yet.I'm toying with the idea of selling my landrover for bitcoins.i wonder if i could???hmmmm.
