I believe that with the mass deployment of 7nm gen ASICs, for quite a while, we will reach a stabilization of the hashrate

Now I'd like to discuss what could happen in a situation where there won't be for at least a couple of years new publicly released gens of more efficient ASICs:

My thoughts:

More interest from home miners in low energy rate countries, especially in cold areas from the world where the ASICs have the side effect to heat up the place. There won't be an arm race like the past years where basically every 6 months bitmain was releasing a new gen, so even in areas with slow logistic/shipping could be interesting having an ASIC running.

I'll add other ideas as in my opinion an hashrate stabilization could be really a game changer in the mining industry

Well  lets say a flat  0.06 watts
Longer warranty such as the 2 year from Avalon.

There would be a demand from any one that needs a space heater.

So this makes sense

I do believe that 7nm is when we'll reach hashrate stabilization as well. The main thing would be who gets to the 7nm first. Its definitely not gonna be the retail miners.

I do believe that 7nm is when we'll reach hashrate stabilization as well. The main thing would be who gets to the 7nm first. Its definitely not gonna be the retail miners.

The main thing is 7nm with asic boost

Here is my theory .

Bitmain has built a 7nm with out overt  asic boost.

Avalon has built a 7nm without overt asic boost

inno_silicon?halong has built a 7nm with asic boost.

all three companies are aware of each others status.

and many shills are attacking inno_silicon  and asic boost.

Not because of the current chips but because to the next chip.

I think the slight edge of the t1 with asic boost with a dragon mint vs an s9 vs and avalon 841

will expand a lot.

This is why f2pool has joined with slush pool as the second major pool to allow asic boost.

@ viabtc.com
@ BTC.top   pool  why not join the party and allow asic boost?

Once this happens a fundamental shift in mining will occur with a stable 0.06 watt per gh or close to that and that is all she wrote.

much like a gasoline engine getting x miles a gallon.

It will get close to that but not much past it.

The real jump was s-7 to s-9  .25 to .11

Who knows? maybe in 3 years we might get past 0.05. We may also be getting flying cars in 3 years, so who's to say right?

I'm just happy that Stability is finally coming to mining. No more of this crazy get-rich-quick madness

My original plan was to quit by 2020 before the halving. I dont think I can compete by then lol. Didnt expect this mining war to occur make things more competitive now.

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

Yeah, would have to upgrade current miners to keep up...and if new miners aren't 20TH or higher....it may not be worth it.

Well if I am going to stick around it will be more solar arrays as I simply don’t have enough cheap power.

I hope to get access to 73 acres of land in south part of New Jersey .

We would simply add panels every year. 2,4,6,10,14,18,24,30,36

Maybe get it to 50 of the 73 acres.

I'm quite joyous just knowing that there are people like you in the world. If theres one good thing coming out of Bitcoin mining, its that it gives people like you the ability to expand renewable energy for the world.

I hope this continues. Bitcoin might just be the pump that the alternative energy industry needs
