+ No name in the coin, brand recognition will do that over time
+ Detailed and suggestive, world & chip
+ Nice and shiny, yet still with a mechanical feel too it!
- (constructive critisism / personal taste. Atm it has a kind of sphere-like look to it. Not sure how but if could makeit look like it has been stamped /pressed into metal it would make it go from superb to perfection!

Either way...... very nice! I vote new logo!

(p.s... always nice to see that every time i come back here after a week of not looking, there is always been some change or innovation. Slow & steady coin indeed. ♥

This was just a prototype for the back of the coin. In the next week or two, a final draft will be made and I will post all the concept art on the main forum at http://forum.machinecoin.org/showthread.php?tid=145.

I won't settle for less than perfect A printable 3D coin is in the works too.

Here is a taste of the raw file. I cropped from my phone. I have one more design in the works, then we will see which looks the best. The beauty of this design is that I can change the metal overlay, or anything else for that matter, to whatever I want with a few clicks.

Thoughts?

Maybe a vote or maybe I will release the files for editing the overlay and a contest for the official design if ok with the dev team, I feel like I am pretty talented at art, I'm thinking if someone can do something better than mine, it would be amazing.

And i guess for the printable version indeed kinda need two sides. I thought we were looking for a new logo for machinecoin. Cause I still kinda favor the shiny version on page 7... Also i really like the fact that it has no name on it. Just the M would be good enough, then on other side the world chip. Personal taste maybe but i think don't need the name on it.

Whatever form the final coin takes, I assure you it will be shiny I have about 10 different metal overlays made like silver, gold, gun metal, steel, copper, titanium and various other flavors. The coin above is at its most basic form (well, almost). I have different gears made that can be swapped out, i can remove a piece of text or put different emblems on it with a few clicks of the mouse... I can even put your head on it for some machinecoins (with dev approval of course).

I agree in a lot of points with him some are not clear what he means without a detailed definition.
For example: "the/a currency is the expression of the economic value of your state".
I guess he means GDP here like GDP of Luxembourg $42.19 billion in 2012.
But this actually does not tells me anything about the economic value of the state Luxembourg.
If 2 people in Luxembourg agree to exchange every second ((42.19 billion)/365/86400)$ with something that is accepted as to be recognized in the GDP like a commercial service then Luxembourg would have $42.19 billion GDP but in fact nothing produced whats worth anything.

My only issue is I don't have any machinecoins that I'm willing to let go of I played around with comkort and it is better than most of the exchanges out there. They have a really good dev team.

Depends but yeah I know what he/you mean.
You were/are able to use gold instead but gold is not very useful if you live in the USA for example and you want to buy something that is located in Japan.
It would take a while, cost something and always be a risk to send the gold from USA to Japan.
The Machinecoin does not has this disadvantage as it allows you to get an own Machinecoin address just within some seconds without the need to visit a bank and send/receive Machinecoins within a very short time.
A combination of gold and Machinecoin is probably the best for all use cases :-)

It will be a glorious day when I can buy products from Japan with my Machinecoins
