This exchange looks shady as fuck. Zero fees, resurrecting dead coins (which can be forked even with old, obsolete hardware), not even a registered business and yet they're mumbling about 'developing partnership with banks'. I'd stay away from this one.

This exchange looks shady as fuck. Zero fees, resurrecting dead coins (which can be forked even with old, obsolete hardware), not even a registered business and yet they're mumbling about 'developing partnership with banks'. I'd stay away from this one. I have no comment about the background or claims of the owner(s), but I agree that it seems to be risky to list coins which don't have a strong underlying network. For example, one coin is at difficulty 0.001 (scrypt), and I'm pretty much the only one that has been mining it now that Cryptsy is gone. In fact, their peer explorer lists two other peers - which are both my servers. Another half dead coin has had some massive blockchain reorgs (including one that invalidated more than a day's worth of blocks and transactions) but they've still listed it. With a weak and unstable blockchain it wouldn't take much for someone to cause some mischief. Maybe they're just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks, and hopefully provoke some trading activity to grow their site, but I would imagine that people with coins that were effectively worthless until added to crypto-trade are probably most interested in dumping. I'm giving them a go anyways; at worst if they close down abruptly I lose some of my weird stash of obscure half dead coins.

The first trade of TEA was made on Crypto-trade.net.
The TEA/USD market had a trade of 1000 Tea for 0.012 USD.
If my math is correct, BTC/USD @ $609.75 .... 1 TEA sold at 0.000000019680 BTC.
Almost 2 sat per TEA, Not bad.

With only 2880 blocks a day at 1 TEA, that means at the current market rate the entire network is minting only around 0.00005 BTC worth of TEA per day. About 3 cents for the entire day. It's a start, at least.

I'm surprised that the tea is still selling from time to time on Crypto-trade.net but not too surprised at the 2 sat price. Volume is low but someone still likes the flavor.

Just noticed that Tea was added to the voting list on TradeSatoshi - https://www.tradesatoshi.com/VoteCurrently #4 on the paid vote list and #10 on the free vote list. Someone still likes Tea.

Is there someone who'll dev for it if it gets on TradeSatoshi?
Is the code up-to-date with security fixes, like a fix for the OpenSSL vulnerability (where the blockchain could be forked between nodes using older versions of OpenSSL -- different forks between Windows and Linux systems, something like that)?
Might not be a great idea to get it on another exchange if anyone can just wreck the blockchain at any time.

Valid observation. Teacoin does need someone to bring it up to date.
Anyone wish to take this on?

addnode=76.95.178.229 addnode=203.20.114.252 addnode=104.183.139.17 What link are you using to download the wallet? I have to admit, reviving this coin sounds intriguing. The chances of a large pile of the coins being lost on exchanges and/or deleted wallets is pretty high.

I'm sorry you ran into this issue. It's been also reported with Bitcoin itself. Something has either corrupted your block data files or is preventing the wallet from reading the files. I've seen reports where a failing hard disk has shown this kind of error. Be sure to rule that out. Recovery can be anything from running the wallet with the -reindex flag or a full re-download of the wallet. If you go the full re-download route, Remove everything in the %appdata%\teacoin folder except wallet.dat and teacoin.conf. backup the wallet.dat while you there

Hi guys,
I haven't been around much as my wife is still angry for putting so much fiat into crypto that we cannot even drink. She would have been happier with Winecoin if there were such a thing.
Anyway, I am running the Mac wallet vresion 0.8.99.7. I haven't fired it up in ages and it's not updating. I see talk of active nodes. Are these live?
Can you please tell me how to add them?
I own quite a few coins and would love to discuss what we could do with them that would be cool.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kong
