The always entertaining John McAfee announced he will be releasing his own crypto-backed fiat currency on June 24 called McAfee Redemption Units.  More details at this article. Currently, the face value of each MRU unit is $9.95. Considering notoriety of Mr. McAfee this could be an interesting collectible; waiting for details on availability, final pricing and how to order. Apparently the notes will be sold only on auction sites TBD. Don't shoot the messenger please:) |

That is very interesting indeed. he is so wrong saying first fiat currency collectors item.
First of all afaik, Fiat means currency authorized by government. Which i don't see to be the case.
This is more like Polymerbit Emergency Notes that has fund in them attached to a code(token in this case).
Also funny how Death of McAfee will make those notes invalid for monetary rewards.
Aside all that, seems fun- would love to have few of them for sure 
EDIT: Interestingly, you need to visit Mexico to verify and then to US to meet McAfee. Is it like reward to meet McAfee? Or he pays you the money directly. Just read the article. Don't need these lol it gives us time with McAfee |

Well that makes sense... Reported modalities of intake include oral consumption, insufflation, smoking, rectal and intravenous use. It is supposedly active at 3–5 mg, with typical doses ranging between 5–20 mg.

Good lord I hope he just smoke it... Sorry to be explicit but from the link I posted: He recommended that the most effective way to take a dose is via rectal insertion, a procedure known as "plugging," writing: "Measure your dose, apply a small amount of saliva to just the tip of your middle finger, press it against the dose, insert. Doesn't really hurt as much as it sounds. We're in an arena (drugs/libido) that I navigate as well as anyone on the planet here. If you take my advice about this (may sound gross to some of you perhaps), you will be well rewarded." Gotta get a few of those MRUs if he actually does bring them to market just for the history of McAfee. |

:') Hold on until then ! I don't want to miss that. Actually I never wish something bad for BTC but I if he loses that bet, that will teach him a good lesson, lol. Notes are nice. Except I don't get it .. Is he launching an altcoin, or is he just backing some imaginary currency made by himself ?  What does "crypto-backed fiat" means ? The US Dollar was "gold-backed fiat" until Nixon. Is it just the next form of government or corporate fiat ? |

I should have created a moderated thread my mistake, @OWZ1337 this thread was created for discussion of McAfee Redemption Unit collectibles not for you to discuss your BitcoinInstant coin. This is after all the Collectibles board not for altcoin promotion. You have your own thread for that. Locking this thread sorry friends will create another one (moderated next time) when McAfee brings the MRU to auction if it happens.
