Fuck, that was a really cool site. I hope this is false info, I haven't checked into anything. I think I had like the majority of my SolidCoin there (which in reality was near nothing, like 60 or 70 I think lol). I forget if I transferred a btc to do some gambling the other day

Mr. Moon has been good to me. I accidentally donated a bunch of coins because he had his donation address on the deposit screen at the bottom and I was a wee bit intoxicated. However, after I emailed him he returned my coins and then removed the addresses from that screen to avoid confusion.

Why in the world would he skip town with a bunch of our SCs though? What does he expect to do with them, buy a bunch of memberships on Lorna-Morgan.com?

LMAO I wonder if she had any coins in the exchange. I remember her saying good things about it.

1. Tens of thousands of SC
I don't know if he's disappeared but just wanted to comment on the above. My exchange had over 350,000 SC at shutdown. I assume moonco.in got a fair few of those. It'd be interesting to know how many SC's are out of circulation while its down.

Mr. Moon has been away for less than 1 Day now... Thats not a good Reason to claim he has been running away with our coins.

I have send him a PM to ask if the exchange is coming back but he hasn't replied as yet but it was only an hour ago. I think he has PM'd a few people. I would like to hear something good.

if moonco.in is gonna be down, SolidCoin will be dead as well. i think they have got about 800 000SC
nobody will want to buy SC in that situation.
RIP.
it's already 0,008 on btc-e.com

Don't forget moonco.in is much more than just a solid coin exchange. They also do bets and poker as well as host a namecoin exchange. A lot of people had a lot of coins there BTC/SLC/NMC and will be worried about getting their coins back. I do regret not making some donations to help fund the site but at the same time that probably wouldn't have stopped that problem from happening at at this stage there is no official word on what has happened. I'm hoping it was some kind of recoverable hardware or software problem and that Mr Moon is working to bring it back up.

PM'd MrMoon asking if they would like to issue a site press release / announcement via BitcoinMedia.com regarding the site, just as an alternate venue to speak on any site issues or the future, as sometimes it seems like when people try and have good intentions on these forums, they will get shit on no matter what

Everybody needs to chill out. A couple weeks ago the website had intermittent outages due to faulty hardware. While being completely down is different, a hardware issue or a problem with hosting is the simplest explanation. He's still idling in his IRC channel which doesn't really say anything, but would he stick around if he "left"?
I'm a mod on the website for the StarCraft II and Football bets (yes, the website is more than an exchange) and in our interactions Mr Moon has been a really good guy. Granted, I don't know him any better than any other person I've met on the internet, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
So the reasonable thing to do is wait until you level more ridiculous accusations at Moonco.in.

There are tons of explanations, simple or complex. And there is no predetermined future for moonco.in. Just remember of mtgox: it was compromised, but it is alive for now. Lets wait and don't panic. Panic? PANIC!!! AAAA!!!

You're assuming he hasn't been quietly converting his reserves to BTC on his own exchange. I wonder if there's any evidence for or against this out there...
