Have some assorted Murraycoin updates:
First of all, 48 hours after announcing the
Bill Murray Charity Fund, we've received 64,323.35 MRY in donations (as of this post.) This is impressive...but the majority of that came from FusionHash. If you haven't donated anything yet, please do; if we want Bill Murray to promote Murraycoin (taking it into the stratosphere) he needs more incentive. We've all been enjoying mining this coin and we all need to do our part to help take it to the next level. 100% of Murraycoins donated to the Bill Murray Charity Fund will be given to the
Murray Bros. Foundation -- from there, they will certainly go toward a good cause. Every little bit helps.
Murraycoin fever hit hard about 36 hours ago -- network speed was up to around
400 MH/s at one point and averaged ~200 MH/s for about 12 hours. For a currency not yet listed on any exchanges, this is pretty impressive. The difficulty formula scaled well -- it was a pretty smooth process despite the above average number of stale shares due to the spike. Things have come back down to earth a bit now...but you should really get in there while the difficulty is low and block reward is high.
In less than 500 blocks, the Murraycoin block reward drops from
500 MRY to 320 MRY -- the reward drop-off will never be as steep as this again. This reduction happens in less than 24 hours.
The block explorer at CryptExplorer has been up/down lately...so we made our own block explorer:

The next item we're rolling out (within the next 24-48 hours) is the
Murraycoin Tip Bot for Reddit -- it will help provide some additional exposure for Murraycoin. In one week, we will fire up our
Google AdWords campaign...and in the meantime we will start to focus on search engine optimization for the Murraycoin website. We have been
in contact with the press and will begin pursuing these opportunities when the time is right. This is going to be big, guys.
If anybody is interested in firing up another Murraycoin pool, we could always use more; as far as I know,
FusionHash is providing the only public pool. Start mining while the block rewards are high --
if you miss this opportunity, you'll certainly be kicking yourself when this project moves into Phase "B"
