Recently ethan (owner of yolodice ) posted this :

One of the top reasons why we keep LTC and ETH bankrolls private is that we can run this kind of competitions where we spend site profit on prizes, and hence the prize pool can grow. These kind of competitions really do their job in bringing new players, and players love them too - it often happens that prizes + rakebacks compensate potential losses for the top players. These are the opportunities some players are looking for and we gladly welcome them to YD.

But I guess we'll open one of ETH or LTC to investors soon. Which one would you prefer first?

Cheers,
Ethan

They are going to enable investments for either litecoin or ethereum which coin would you like to invest in?
I have kept this poll private for now and it will run for 7 days cast in your votes and if you got any suggestions feel free to share them

I think he had to make thread over post in Yolo's ANN thread. What's litecoin? It's just a clone of bitcoin but with scrypt hash function. So what we have left? Ethereum. Why? Because it's different and very unique coin with a lot of features, smart contracts and etc, don't forget - it's second on coinmarketcup and it's price don't depend on bitcoin as much as litecoin.

I would agree but honestly i did support ethereum first but when you see the price and in terms of profit ethereum price seems too high right now and litecoin is still undervalued. I want to buy litecoin make money from the site  (obviously it's not guarantee but telling a thing) and from the increase in price of litecoin

That's a bit braindead.

(I vote Ethereum btw).

Dunno...  Personally I think LTC is mostly a dead coin from a technical development standpoint.  They just mostly take what's good from BTC.  Ethereum on the other hand is chasing a unicorn but at least they're pushing the envelope.  There's at least something there that could be good to learn from...

And ETH could go for a flippening this year (not that I think it will happen or anything...).  Grin

No questions asked, i would go for ETH if we do talk about popularity and i bet most investors would prefer this one but actually the thing comes to my mind why would need to choose one if they can give 2 options it would really be more ideal because it can extent and possibly get investors either from both sides.

Yes, ETH is better coin than LTC. But as an investor, I prefer both coins to be added because I won both of these coins so I can invest in bankroll to grow over the time. Also, it is good for the site as well because their bankroll will increase and many big whales may try on their site. If they want to add only one coin then most of the people prefer ETH over the LTC including me.

and this choice has been made sure to become the ETH that has the biggest vote. and memag it would be better if two of the coins are implemented on yolodice so that they have many options for the players, because we sometimes consider in terms of prices that may change at any time

Uh implemented these 2 coins are already there on yolodice we are talking about which coin yolodice should open for investments

Regarding everyone else's reply ues ethereum  is better in every single way from ltc but think about it do you think ethereum can give you more profit than litecoin if you hold it for long run, not trying to manipulate you all in the end it's your decision but think about it

No one knows which coin will bring more profit in future. ETH ICO price was $0.311, not sure how much was the LTC ICO price but I am pretty sure it was not much comparing to the current price. Ethereum is coming up with updates, same with LTC. May be I am not a forecaster so all things are a bit blurry here for me but one thing is sure for me: Both coins have good potential in the long run but I will take the side of Ethereum.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

unch, sorry I misunderstood this thread, yes if talking about yolodice investment we certainly will have different funding between ETH and LTC and maybe LTC will only be seen if we invest in long term. high LTC fingers only work on long-term capabilities,

I'd probably go with ETH instead of LTC.
More people use it, including myself..
Brighter future.

LTC was mined. It didn't have an ICO.

Looking for a signature campaign.

Fair enough. I did not have the knowledge. Thanks.
If there is a situation that I have to pick one then my vote will be for ETH because I understand it better than LTC.

What is there to understand? You need basic knowledge how to create wallet and how to send transaction, how hard can it be?  Roll Eyes

OP which coin is more profitable? What players use mostly to gamble, ltc or eth? Maybe that coin should be added as investment option. I gambled with both ltc and eth and somehow I would rather gamble with LTC than eth.
Why ethan doesn't add both coins?  Undecided

At the end of the day, the coin itself will not matter as much as the tendency for people to go in and wager. You can always see for example, on sites that accept both Litecoin and Ethereum, that Litecoin enjoys usually more wagering that ETH. I don't have exact statistics, but you can even see DOGE get more wagering volume. It isn't about the tech or development, it's what gamblers like to use or have. And maybe Litecoin is "Easier" to gamble because psychologically, you can wager bigger numbers.

OP which coin is more profitable? ...

You can check the stats for yourself at:
https://yolodice.com/#stats/game

At the time of writing:
~ 1057 LTC profit
~ 575 ETH profit

However, these stats are misleading, because a huge chunk
of these profits has been paid in out various competitions at YOLOdice.

That won't happen so fast , as ethan said he alone can't take any decisions and also think this from ethan view , currently they are using their own bankroll and ethereum and litecoin have generated so much profit , if investments were enabled they couldn't keep all the profits with themselves but have to share it with investors

I don't know whether you're aware or not LTC block-time 2.5 minutes and Eth block-time 14-15 seconds.

Actually ETH much faster than LTC  Smiley.
