I mean if most bounty earners make more money on average than people on (bitcoin) signature campaigns?

I don’t care much about alts and ICOs because I strongly believe bitcoin will be the coin of the future, maybe together with three or four more. I think 99% of coins you see on coinmarketcap will end up here.

But after reading this post, I’ve googled about bounty earnings and I’ve found out this one.

Is this true? I’m overwhelmed at how much many people there say they earn.

I have no idea how much they can earn but I have seen some crazy reports around. Lately I joined a bounty for CS. The reason is I believe in the project. I invested in there ICO few months ago and made over 250% of my initial investment from the project. Let's see how the bounty goes now.  I am interested to see how long I can manage to do this robotic data entry LOL

Yes.

Irrelevant. It's all about money and to sell as soon as possible.
But after reading this post, I’ve googled about bounty earnings and I’ve found out this one.

1000$? That is nothing. I've seen bounties rewarding tokens worth 0.5 - 1BTC even more. To each participant!
Also, I've seen bounty hunters receiving 20$ rewards for 3 months of posting  Grin

Bitcoin campaigns will bring stable but lower reward and they are risk free. You know exactly how much you will earn.
Bounty campaigns are unstable, reward depends on (unlimited)number of participants/changing bounty terms after ICO ends/success of ICO and you don't know how much you will earn and as I already said, you can "work" for 3 months for 20$ also you can "work" for 2-3 weeks and earn 0.5-1BTC.

Yes, without boubt.
If you are lucky enough to find the right coin you can buy one house with one signature. (Atleast one medium house 100k-150K € here in Italy on small town)
Last example is this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2770283.0 but now after my report of mass abusing the spreadsheet it's gone. Roll Eyes
The coin already did +1500% since ICO
The bounty was 1.2M usd so even with a 20% for signature (I don't know the real value) someone with high rank now has probably (with the +1500%) more than 20/50k.

Remember it's really hard to find the good coin, you need to be lucky.

Just one thing first: bounty earners are people.

Bounty hunt is like investment, but you invest your time and your assets and work (your twitter account, friends in facebook, your rank in Bitcointalk,...) . And, in the same way as investment it can go x100 or can go x.001

I know the OP is asking an average, but is extremely variable when you think of an individual. That is, you can do 6 to 8 campaigns a year and is not unlikely that...

- One of them is a scam (Dencity, Symmetry fund,... you name it)
- Another gets postponed for months (goNetwork, XYO,...)
- Another one attracts institutional investments and does not nee ICO (lendoit, theta token,...)
- Another one does not reach soft cap (most this year)
- Another one gets a ridiculous amount (most this year)
- Another one asks for a KYC after the promotion has been done (Medichain). Would you put your docs online for 100 USD?
- Another has a poor bounty manager and does not count properly you stakes (Loyak).
- Another one gets assaulted by 100 suspicious Jr members of Bitcointalk.
- Another does not cap the number of hunters and you get almost nothing (BABB)

I think you get the point - that's the life of a bounty hunter.

So people do tell you about their good times, but they tend to hide the miseries of bounty hunting. Without a careful study, my feeling about the average, non-rocket catching hunter would be, per year in USD for signatures only:

- Jr Member  400 to 800
- Member     2000 to 5000
- Full / Senior 8000 to 10000
- Legendary 10000 to 25000

But... and this is a big issue, that is at ICO price. Then it comes the multiplying effect of the market. During 2017 it was wild and bounties were also wild. This year is s*it and the results are usually poor. Many ICOs serve the bounty hunters last, sometime a month after investors, so you always get the worst market price.

(Note: I have not participated personally on all these, but I do follow the bounty channels.)

Yes this is true, but
Lets take for example the best signature here on forum (if I'm not wrong) that's pays in bitcoin:

Quote
- Sr. Member, Hero Member, Legendary and Staff = 0.00075BTC/post x 50 post

For a total of 0.0375 BTC/weekly, 300$ with a BTC value of $8000, from here in one year if the signature campaign lasts for the whole duration, 15600$ will be given.

Now with altcoins for a Legendary rank you can have 1k $ in altcoin weekly, and yes you right you will have the risks of the SCAM/uselesscoin and the advantage to find the golden egg.
My personal advice is that if you want to try to use the altcoin signatures is to enter in not long-term projects (even if you do not start from the beginning of the campaign does not change anything if there are not many people) and to change atleast one projcet per month to reduce risks and take advantage of diversification.

In others terms BTC seems more reliable with almost certain payment at least for those famous campaigns here on the forum, altcoin pay more even 400% but are subject to risks if you find the -80% coin or the scam coin and benefits if you find the + 10000% coin, changing often and diversifying will decrease the risks and increase the chances to find the golden eggs.

LOL! I think I am going to start doing some serious spamming.

You are talking about the bounty hunter’s point of view. I was talking about mine. I am a long-term investor in the stock market, I was before I discovered the crypto world, that’s why I thought it was better to earn bitcoin than to earn fancy alts. But seeing the comments, it could be a good move to earn bounties and if one of them hits the jackpot, to exchange the coins for bitcoin.

So people do tell you about their good times, but they tend to hide the miseries of bounty hunting.

Yes, that usually happens, not only in this field.

As others have said.. sometimes you might earn $2000 with only a minor effort.. next campaign you'll make only $20 with a lot of effort. On average you'll be looking at a lot more $20 misses than $2000 hits due to all the spammers getting high stakes in poorly managed/mainstreamed bounties.

I think too much emphasis is given in evaluating the teams too. Sometimes projects I thought were absolute shit scams went on to moon (Credits) and projects I thought were legit turned out to be shit.

It is luck based as it has been said. However most of bounty campaigns members never make the same amount of a bitcoin signature campaign member. The reason why you see lots of spamming in Altcoin Bounties section is because of lack of real signature campaigns in the Services section where usually are the bitcoin signature ones. People have start to abuse massively the bounties by entering multi accounts and not just that, in some cases in shit world countries they even have taken an office with rent (low rent) to just post in mass groups and to cheat these bounties. So in theory bounty earners earn more than those in Bitcoin signature campaigns for the reason of cheating.

Screw bounties and 'bounty hunters'. I don't often get pissed at things, but money-craving users that have little to no specialized skills clicking away all day and making boatloads of money is ridiculous to me. IMO, it's brought the average mentality of this forum down further into that moneymoneymoney cycle, both by attracting those kinds of members and introducing current members to these new opportunities.

Don't take it personal, but you are wearing a banner and promoting your own stuff. I am not saying that you are making money, I don't know and I don't care, but you are "bountyhunting" for yourself from my point of view.

I agree that bounty hunting is asking for a clean-up. I have read things like...

"yes Bitcoin is good. it is a great coin. it is the king of all coins because is the best coin and everyone knows that is the best coin"

so I understand your point, just don't put everyone on the same basket.
