Hi,
I am new to mining. I invested about 1.5 BTC in cloud mining. After a while, I was charged for private key generation. My blockchain wallet password did not work. I emailed the miners and they said me to pay fees for password. After a while, I tried accessing and the miners said that your wallet is compromised and you need to pay X fees for wallet fixing. Beyond that, when I asked they said that wallet is fixed but you need us to pay withdrawal fees for this. I asked them to give me a payment agreement and escrow which they did.
Do you think I will get this BTC?
If this is not the right forum, please guide me to one as this is my first post.

Based on your story, looks like you just fall into scam that offering ''mining'' thing and ask you to give your blockchain.info wallet. Am i right? If yes, then don't pay anything to them. There's is no such thing called "Wallet Fixing" in blockchain wallet by random people. Looks like you just got scammed, because that fake. Cmiiw.

Do you think I will get this BTC?
No.

Your first mistake was investing into cloudmining at all. You'll be lucky to get your coins out of the site you invested into, as it's most likely a scam and they're currently trying to take as many coins from you as possible right now, and from what I can tell they got you to hand over your wallet private key which means the site has full control over your 1.5 BTC right now. A link to the site would be nice and we could look more into the scam you got yourself into. It's unlikely you'll be able to get anything back, but we can prevent others from falling into the same trap if you link the site here.

Well, that's a big scam. Don't trust anything like mining thing from random people, there's some people that already fall to that scam. Better Avoid it.

Let me just confirm that you've been scammed. Stop wasting your breath on them, you'll just prolong your heartache.

What I can't understand is why anyone would want to throw away so much money (that's over $10k worth even at today's low price) before doing 15 minutes of research...

Learn your lesson. Start by learning about Bitcoin and mining. Then maybe next time you'll never put your funds where your wallet isn't. Oh and yeah, cloudmining is almost guaranteed to lose you money.

Where did they escrow money or are going to escrow? I 100% believe this is scam but seems interesting, scam + scam escrow?
Let's ask them to use any escrow here from escrow list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
P.S the things they told you never happens, they are sane, where's the shame?
Sorry but all I can suggest you is to learn crypto more deeply to understand how do things work because no one can help you to get money back.

Hey to take your money into the shit cloud mining sites mate. There are plenty could mining resources available in the market but nothing seems a good one bro. Better you could start with the GPU or ASIC mining else you can keep quite from this bro.
I hope since you are newbie not a big investment holder so I advice you to go with trading for some more months mate.
If you get success in that with big profit then you could do whatever you want.

How did you meet this person? How did this person contact you? You do not have people's data of this person? How did this person convince you to invest? Did you ask for evidence of where that person mines bitcoin? At least you have any idea of that person's physical address? There are many questions that need answers, you need to gather data from that person and report your case to the police, the police will chase the scammer.

Do you think I will get this BTC?

this will depend on the data you have from that person to the police pursue the scammer

Cloud mining is not worth able to invest because we cannot make money through cloud mining. They will share some percentage from our investment, so investing in cloud mining is always risky, already we have seen many scams in cloud mining.

You are a person who suffers destruction and failure because you trust cloud mining. Though you should have gotten various information stating that cloud mining is a bad thing and not worth to follow. Cloud mining is a bad system and it has been declared by various existing evidence. By following the cloud mining means we have given some bitcoin that we have, it will not be useful because we will get nothing but a ruin in our lives.

Buddy this is really scam. Cloud mining is a bad investment, stay away from cloud mining site that may be scam. Also its not profitable because if you invest there it takes lot of time to get your investment. Some time you wont get like this. Better go with mining hardware.

Where did you find this service? Do they have a website or something?
It's very fishy that they use a gmail address instead of email through their own domain.

Was this some sort of personal deal that you made with someone?

It's looks like a very big scam. And as you said that you invest  your money in cloud mining site so i think you have to foget you btc beacause you will never get it back. All cloud mining sites are scam and they didn't give payment after your investment and also blocked your account. This same thing is also happened with me in one cloud mining site which name is Auroramine and i lost my all investment. so after that i never invest ina ny of cloud mining sites and i also suggest all people to never invest in any of cloud mining sites.

LOL, he may googled it and got the email. If you want to go with the assistance of bitmain site. Best choice write them with their contact us email address given on the website. Apart you can go with the simple email address. We cannot assure all those email or correct.

Then I agree yours words about the suspicious address has been given here.
If personal deal he or she should go with creating on thread and advertising it. Do not create the bug post to other places.

The one who's not helping himself is the OP for not giving much information about the site that he's/she's trying to investigate. The OP's information is limited how can we help you if you're this ignorant. All those questions have been lying there for quite some time just like this one it's your fault OP if your scammed by those whom your dealing with ciao.
