Well It seems that Bitcointalk will be dying for the Alt community.
I understand the owners frustration with all the crap coins that have broke out in the past few months. Now the forum gets clogged up with spam and useless shit I t makes it hard for someone to come here and find any info.

Noobs really have it bad. They can't chat and get info , they can't search and get info, and there are 1000s of threads to thumb through. It can be overwhelming to someone new to the community.
I have a feeling that BCT will probably fall to the wayside for another forum board to capitalize on a perfect opportunity to  embrace a displaced community.
The Alt community is a LARGE section of people that are in crypto now!

All this might have been avoided if the forum was set up for these people and have a couple of rules. Like for instance, They could have set the forum boards up within the alt forum with a child board that was "Giveaways only " and make people post giveaways there only and only one giveaway per coin at a time .. If you have a different giveaway for your coin you must Delete your first thread to start a new one.
Then have a second child board for Official threads only and coins can only post One time in this area.
then have a third for Alt coin help and a fourth for general discussions and speculations..etc.
I think If it was set up like that we would not have a lot of the problem we are seeing today and it would be easier to moderate.

So anyway it is what it is the owner could have capitalized on a perfect opportunity to generate more ad revenue like allowing a coin to sponsor a child board for a day for a fee.
So it is pretty obvious they would just like to see the Alt community die off here in BCT...SO Now the question

Now that You are not welcome here anymore Where Is everyone going to migrate to for the alt coin news? CryptoCoinTalk? They have a troll box over there that might prove useful. I would Like to know so we can keep the alt coin refugees together and keep everyone in the loop.
I guess post the New place you think everyone shoud go here and give a brief description why.

Yes I know That is right. Too bad this guy could have capitalized on the rapid growing community.. all he needed to do was change a few things make it more streamlined and he could have made some major cash. think of how much someone would pay to skin a board for a day...

I will exchange you any time 1000000000 visitors from india vs  1000 us based ones if you want traffic.

Same thing here. There were lots of people making lots of accounts juts to post in giveaways threads.
And the result? Nothing. Juts useless spam and more work for the mods.

Let's see how the alt coins will evolve if the altsection gets deleted.  Say your prayers.
I bet we won't see any other coin launched in the next week.

There will still be coins...lots of good SEOs and ways around that...what you wont have is a bunch of fucking whiners crying about not being able to mine whatever they want from the second its live so they can all just sell the coin in threads 5 minutes later....

Now you can happily launch coins mine them yourself and develop services around them.  no DDOS no crying no drama...let the strong survive.

well if we delete the section there will be no release here that's obvious...  Grin

It seems that the discussion has improved since the giveaways ended.

But the mysterious thing to me is why not simply create a giveaway child board. And why did the newbie section get the ax?  Huh

Well those giveaways actually spread the awareness about crypto in many ways..

All those giveaways which required tasks like like FB page , follow on twitter , etc drew attention from many....

I agree because of giveaways many people creating multiple accounts..but those giveaways weren't that bad...

Which gets part of its value from being used to invest in altcoins as well as people watching altcoins to see if something new should be incorporated into bitcoin.

I vote for a new title

"Alternate Cryptocurrencies -- Home of the one way discussions, sockpuppets, bagholders and terrible investments"

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I was just pointing out the forum owners chose to focus on bitcoins. They own it, they get to choose. Nothing to stop someone else building a successful forum around altcoins.
