Just was introduced to Bitcoin last week by a buddy of mine at school. I understand it pretty well, and it seems like something I'd like to get into. I just have a couple questions. So I run a gaming PC with an NVidia card. I quickly found out that it's not adequate because AMD cards work better. I have some specs laid out for a mining rig, with a Radeon R7 260X. I would rather do the second option. I was looking into the Bitmain AntMiner. It's 60 bucks and is goes through USB. It says 1.6 GH/s. I don't pay for my electricity by the way.
How many hashes would that Radeon churn out?
Can I run the antminer on my raspberry pi to save a buttload of energy?
How fast is 1.6 GH/s?
About how many USD per day would this get me?
EDIT: OR would I be better off getting several ASICminer block eruptors for 20 each and running those?
r7 260x can give you around 250kh. it can earn you 0.1ltc/day or about $2
you can run antminer on raspberry pi.
1.6gh is worthless!
usd per day with 1.6gh??? around $0.30/day and less and less and less with every difficulty jump (13 days)!
each block erupter can earn you around $0.06/day so no point either.
forget about it IMHO.
