Is it possible to get arOpenCLMAX to solo mine? I tried changing to http://127.0.0.1:8108 and it initializes the device, but it doesn't start mining. (and maxcoind is running)

I'd rather just solo with all the ddos happening to the two pools if possible using an AMD GPU.

Go to ypool and download their CPU miner.

that link goes to a primecoin pool. can anyone post a link to a pool i can use.

You have to change the coin in that pool.  On the top of the page there is a drop down menu that says "Current Coin Mode."
