KNC Jupiter Beaglebone and controller board needed!

I purchased a unit from someone that was DOA (see picture below). They will not take it back (I'm pursuing legal action). The problem is with the chip right above the 4-pin molex power connector JP1, and next to the fan power JP2. Is there anyone that has a spare controller and BBB handy so I can get this unit hashing asap? I have to send both off to KNC for RMA, but we all know that will take a while and time is lost BTC! I will pay for expedited shipping to myself and back once I receive the RMA. I would also pay some $ or BTC for your troubles.

i suggest to buy a cheap mercury or saturn and use your boards on this device. for the beaglebone you can use any of them and load the knc sd image onto them. or ask knc if they can sell you just the controller board.

no "cheap" saturn/mercury/jupiter out there that i know of.  i have asked KNC what they can do about selling me just the board, or advanced rma / cross-ship.  waiting to hear back.

good news is that you dont need to be the machine's original owner to do the RMA.  bad news is they dont do advanced RMA or cross-shipping.  the quote below is from Kurt on the KNC forum.

It's typically a 1 week turn around. Better than a kick in the teeth.

true true.  I sent it off today and it should get to them by friday.  hopefully the turnaround will be quick.  still would be interested to find a board to rent in the meantime.

shipped it to them wed, they received it today and sent me out a new one same day.  i should receive the replacement monday.  great customer service!
