Man this is very common in cryptoworld. Fake airdrops trying to scam people. Most of the legit airdrops just need your public address and email address and sometimes telegram username. But if an airdrop is asking for your private key. Then it's a no brainer scam

Yes, airdrop task can hack your MEW most specially if you fall from their trap giving them your private key.Theres no any kind of airdrop asking for private key so never ever give it.Its phishing kind of hacking by the way so be careful filling-up forms.

I think if you only fill up the form and enter only you public address, I guess your MEW is safe. Just don't give your private key or enter it on different website, your MEW will be safe. Just make sure to check the website before entering your PK, there are a lot of phishing sites now and also be careful on clicking links sent to you on your email. Just be careful on filling up forms you must only input your public address which starts on 0x always check it before you submit.

i think may be they can because its depends in the apps because they can plan a program that can monitor what you are doing in your phone or devices where that apps installed, like keylogger ^_^... so be careful ^_^

Only if the airdrop asking you for credentials data such as your ethereum address' private key, JSON, or else, other than that if they are asking for your email, they maybe got your wallet through luring you to fill in their phising website.
However, just always beware since airdrop generally created by random stranger who "obviously" always have intention, the token or coin that you may get from the airdrop always comes at price.

2. use Metamask google chrome wallet to avoid using fake sites. it helps to help us to find which site is fake or not.
3. Always check the link of Website is HTTPs:// in Green color ? Bookmark your wallet link safely. Never open any other website which is related to your website.

4. Some airdrop ask for your ether network private key (avoid filling such forums)
5. go for airdrops which ask for KYC documents. it helps us that company is trusted.
6. Never install any application on your dextop or laptop without proper verification.
7. Install Best Internet security antivirus which tell you which website contains virus.

Yes its posibble beacuse they sent fake mytherwallet website in your email.if you will login your private key in fake myetherwallet website there is possibilities that all of your token will be lost. To avoid this just check always the url before entering your private key.

The only reason they are losing their token when joined in the airdrop due to they are giving their privatekey to earn shit token just like airdrop. Sometimes there is a developer of airdrop that builds a wallet and remember the wallet can be affected by the malware to steal your password and privatekey and i suggest you never try to join in any airdrop.

No it is impossible to hack your wallet just with the ethereum address as even if you dont enter the address in form..many addresses can be found publicaly in etherescan and they can hack from there..so this is not possible...ya just beware that never share your private key with anyone no matter what..

I think it's not an airdrop error, it looks like you mis-filled your address. I'm very sure you fill your mew address with private key when you join airdrop.

There are many reasons why people's mew got hacked like entering the pv keys in the address box of airdrop form, click on phising link that directing you to fake website and entering your pv keys there etc. Make sure to bookmark the mew real website, don't tell anyone your pv keys, and install good antivirus like malwarebytes etc.

I think there is no problem on the airdrops the problem I think is the leakage of the private key of the user, there are airdrop bots that are getting your private key, that is totally a scam and hack, you should never give your private key to anybody else except yourself.

my friend have the same cases.
he forgot about what he joined
after that.
all of ETH balance and token gone
but,my logic say it's cant be happened until they know your PK

I think it's impossible that an airdrop campaign will going to hack your myetherwallet, first thing the airdrop only asks for your myetherwallet address and will also ask you some tasks including joining to their telegram account, following twitter and facebook account.

If the airdrop asks for your KYC or wallets private key then that airdrop is a scam. As a participant you should be responsible to take care of your account Including your private key. Maybe you put it on a website and it was saved there or you used it to a public computer and someone uses it.
