5-10 years is such a long term investment that people do not even consider anything worth holding that much. If you have as much patience then you are better off in the other financial markets where banks offer you fixed returns over a period of time. Do not waste your time here in this market. It is for those people only who are looking for short term gains. I doubt anyone here wants to hold for 5 years.
If you are so future conscious, you can literally hold ANY coin and it would rise.

yes, I think ethereum is good for the long term, if you want to hold ethereum 5-10 years in the future I can not imagine, you would be very rich at the time. imagine if you hold 1 ETH only and the price of 10x the increase you have a big profit especially if you hold more than 1 ETH

Ethereum is the best for long term hold! At a time, I held ethereuk from price of $10 and  one and half years later, I was able to sell the same ether above $300! Ether as far as I am concern is the most valuable Altcoin  in cryptocurrency!

Ethereum is also good for long term aside from btc. What makes it good right now is the price is considering low and it was expected to rise more. It is better to hold ethereum for longer time but if a person want a more secure holding then they have not to stay away from the market and have to keep alert from the market all the time as if any thing bad happened then he will lose all of his money just like the hack of ethereum two years ago. I do not say that it will happen again but care is better than regret and anything is possible in that market.
