An important part of any project is defining your purpose. And your core beliefs help determine how you approach that purpose. So, what are LaborCrypto’s core beliefs? We know, because they are at the very center of everyone on our founding team. They are the very fundamental beliefs we carry as human beings and they reflect how we see or want to see the world.

LaborCrypto [https://laborcrypto.com/] is a global P2P freelance platform. It’s a tech company deploying blockchain and crypto to disrupt the freelance landscape. However, we are focused on impacting people. The fact is most of us have or will have access to the same technology and code, but what sets us apart is what we intend to do with it. Code doesn’t change lives, what we do with it is what changes lives.

Our core beliefs are Inclusion, Opportunity and Empowerment.

We believe in providing inclusion and access. So millions, if not billions of people around the world are excluded from opportunity that many of us take for granted. There are countless barriers people face to access the world’s economic systems. An example of exclusion could be someone lacking access to the world’s banking and payment systems. The current larger freelance platforms only operate in a few countries. Another example of exclusion is regulatory constraints which prevent people from participating in certain investment classes. In the US, people that do not reach a certain wealth threshold cannot invest in certain assets, because they are assumed to be an at risk demographic. This just is not right, and can be done better. What struck us about the emerging technology is its ability to bring people together, align interests and provide inclusion. It allows people to overcome barriers and get in the game.

We also believe creating opportunity should be a focal point if your community is going to thrive. If our experience in the gig economy has taught us anything, it’s that users want more choice and support. Consumers, for example, want to be able to decide what they can afford. They are frustrated with arbitrary prices dictating whether they can get help. For freelancers, we provide them with the opportunity to build a team and business. The problem with most platforms is they do not provide the freelancer a path to grow their business and become entrepreneur. They are forced to be a one man band. We have found there to be a natural demographic, in the freelance space, of aspiring entrepreneurs and freelancers seeking supplemental income. Why are we limiting the ambition and drive of so many people? We also provide opportunity to capture the economic gains from a growing ecosystem. Normally, a growing business would share economic gains with shareholders, but with LaborCrypto, everyone is a stakeholder and captures the gains of the ecosystem in multiple ways.

Lastly, we believe in empowerment. This is an incredibly important point. Today’s world and the near future is going to demand a total re-evaluation of how we work and no one knows how it will look exactly. What we do know, is that emerging technology like Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and automation will impact the work landscape. People are going to have to adjust and the working population is at risk in many ways. We understand that empowering them with the tools to find new interests and skills is a must for a thriving community. We see empowering people through collaboration as the absolute answer. For example, collaboration in the areas of training, education and business services will be critical and valuable for users of the platform. This adds longevity to the value provided by LaborCrypto.

LaborCrypto [https://laborcrypto.com/] doesn’t leverage people or their work, we embrace their success and support development of their future. We believe that this is what builds a strong community.

I’ll leave you with a saying our founder shares with us from time to time. Be the change you want to see in the world.
