About ColdLar

Coldlar is a Beijing-based blockchain technology company specializing in offering blockchain digital assets security solution, and the product Coldlar wallet can store a variety of digital assets, such as bitcoin, litecoin, and ethereum. The private keys never have opportunity to connect with the Internet, which eliminate the risk of private keys theft by hackers. The Coldlar wallet has two components, hardware wallet, and Coldlar app, the hardware wallet is responsible for creating the transaction and sign it, and the Coldlar app is used to check cryptocurrency address balance and broadcast transaction. All information that Coldlar wallet gets involved is open and transparent, without any security risks.

Safety Instructions

• The Coldlar wallet has taken Hierarchical Deterministic technical scenario, users have created the seed password randomly, and they also need to set up payment password.The private keys of different cryptocurrencies are created by random seed password and payment password together, and then the private keys create public keys, which are used to form assets' addresses.
• The Seed password has been stored on hardware wallet only, users of Coldlar wallet has absolute control of their cryptocurrencies.
• The seed password has not been stored on hardware wallet in an understandable text form; conversely, the seed password has been encrypted by using payment password. Even users lost their Coldlar wallet, and others still cannot get access to the seed password. Therefore, we suggest all users set up high-level payment password.
• To get access to the assets stored on the wallets, users must have random seed password and payment password at the same time.
• The wallet cannot be restored if users lost their random seed password and payment password.
• Be sure to remember the payment password. If lost it, nobody can help you getting access to the digital assets on wallets.
• Be sure to back up seed password and save it in a safe place, never show it to anybody else, never type your random password on the website page, we highly recommend you to write down it on paper. Saving it on electronic equipment is not recommended.

Coldlar (the “Company”), based out of Beijing, China, was founded in December 2016 by a group of Blockchain technology pioneers and experts to design and manufacture cold storage solutions for the blockchain industry in the form of hardware wallet. So far, Coldlar wallet (Explorer series) is on sale, and it has successfully been drawing tons of attention from blockchain industry.

We have a tech team for hardware and APP product design, Android and iOS development, website support for 20 people around. We also have a customer service team in Chinese, English and Korean, and they also support global shipments. We also have 25 staffs around who are from the marketing, HR, financial and sales team.

Yes, we are funded by VC, we raised 10 million USD last Dec.

Hello, thank you for your interest and your questions. Yes, exchanges are banned in China. But we can use exchange platforms such as Huobi, Binance and all the other exchanges. And what’s good for us is that hardware wallet is legal and allowed in China.

Hey Patatas and joniboini, thanks for your attentions and comments about the price of ColdLar wallet. Although they are all called hardware wallet, there are tons of differences between ColdLar and other wallets.

ColdLar actually has its own operation system with a display screen. All you need is the wallet and the ColdLar application to complete the transactions. No need of a computer to make it work.

The ColdLar hardware wallet is always offline. It creates the transaction, generate the private key based on the seed password and payment password by algorithm. As long as the signature is done, the private key is gone. On one hand, ColdLar hardware wallet does not store the private key; on the other hand, ColdLar hardware wallet never connects the Internet, which eliminates the risks of being hacked.

How many units were made? I dont see that they have solded out more than 10,000 units in a few months after availability on the market. Maybe they only made 1000 units lol.
