Considering doing a full review in January, as above. Darkcoin doesn't have "privacy baked in" because it uses coinjoin obfuscation like a frosting on top. Monero OTOH is intrinsically private because it uses ring signatures - no need to trust master nodes and whatnot. |

1. Dogecoin / DOGE - for its community
2. Monero / XMR - for the full anonymity and the dedication of its devs
3. Heavycoin / HVC - for its innovation at that time. I really hope it will not die.
4. MidasCoin - the idea behind it sounds good and plausible. But it's too early to know if it's a scam or not.

I'd say that Doge coin has pretty interesting cap today and the graphs show that it's going to grow up and up
IMO, NXT is quite good altcoin too. I like Nxt Forum - looks like Bitcointalk but with other forum sections

(2) LTC - scrypt far from dead, 2nd most secure coin, better value than BTC
........... - it's about security, security, security, stupid... could double any time
(3) NXT - dodgy or not, this will fly, *** hit "simplicity sweet spot" dead on ***
.......... - any small businessman can master NXT and launch an IPO in weeks
........... - despite being effectively controlled by ONE PERSON, NXT Asset Exchange is taking off
.......... - all other Gen 2.0 are either useless (XCP) or too complex for non-engineers (XRP)
.......... - biggest problem is centralization, US govt could shut it down in hours
(4) BC... - amazing PoS story, great community, BitHalo
(5) VIA.. - 2 world class developers (drak/todd) will figure it out
........... - told you scrypt not dead, when PoS and Gen 2.0 assets start blowing up, PoW makes BIG comeback
........... - 24 sec blocks, designed as currency, not e-gold for hoarders like BTC
