That's right, you can become the proud owner of a 1 acre of land ON THE FREAKING MOON.  Perfect for getting away from the in-laws, hiding your bitcoins and silver from the revenuers, or plotting world domination.

You will receive:

+ A deed to one acre of lunar real estate.

+ A lunar map.

+ A copy of the lunar Constituion and Bill of Rights.

+ A pamphlet detailing the story of the lunar embassy.

More details at http://lunarembassy.com

You don't own land on the moon.

Are you suggesting that the seemingly upstanding company that sold me this land is actually a cabal of charlatans?  I shall assemble a legal team to investigate these accusations post-haste.

Don't be silly, everybody knows Lord British owns the moon. As the only private owner of a spacecraft on an extraterrestrial body (he purchased Lunokhod 2 from the Russians) and having traveled into space himself, he has more claim than the jokers issuing these deeds.

BTW, here he is with the Sputnik he purchased:

I own the sun by the way. I hope you've been enjoying the free energy, but that's going to end real soon...

"Yes. I purchased Lunakod 21 from the Russians. I am now the world's only private owner of an object on a foreign celestial body. Though there are international treaties that say, no government shall lay claim to geography off planet earth, I am not a government. Summarily, I claim the moon in the name of Lord British!"

This is the same legal avenue that The Lunar Embassy uses to claim parcels of the moon, much like in the old west where people simply stuck a flag in the ground and staked a claim. I have looked into this in the past, and as far as moon real estate goes - this is as legit as it gets. These deeds also include mineral rights if I remember correctly. Useful, probably not - but within the bounds of international law yes. Seems like a joke or a scam, but some people still think that about Bitcoin too...

I was considering purchasing the sun, but realized I'd probably be liable for skin cancer, heat stroke, and RAM failures from cosmic rays, likely amounting to tens of trillions of dollars in lawsuits.

However, I may be able to sue everyone for using my energy. If gov't can allow US corporations rights to rain water on others' property, I don't see why I can't claim a right to all solar energy from the sun.

I consider it more of a novelty item than a joke or an outright scam.  It's possible the claim could be ruled valid, but I don't think anyone is holding their breath waiting to find out.

Like I said, probably not very useful...
