I think your question is so broad that you are going to get a lot of different answers.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

People are now getting into the bitcoin bandwagon, so I guess many people are dedicated to it. If you’ll just look at the bitcoin casino industry, there are many people that are involved to it because of this new currency.

Well, actually it's not, for according to howmanypeopleworkinbitcoin.com, which tracks accurately the number, the currently tally is 997,043, just shy of a million, thus we need to get the word out. BTW, the one millionth bitcoiner wins an around the world trip, sharing a room with the marketing team LD Johnson and Skropenis.

If you expand the scope into the altcoin sector the numbers are huge.

While there might be about half million bitcoin users I guess only small percentage (like under 10%) mine Bitcoin for profit or daytrading

Do you mean with 'working' having a full time job dedicated to bitcoin?

I have been shrunken down, and placed inside a hollowed out bitcoin, along with all of my computer equipment.

I eat very, very tiny burgers and fries.

There is no one else besides myself working in Bitcoin - it's very cramped here.

Work for bitcoin, I'd say about 1,000-1,500
Hold bitcoin, I'd say 2-3 million.

In a way anyone who uses bitcoins whether they buy them, spend them or mine them works for bitcoin since miners create the bitcoins but they take them off the blockchain and anyone who spends a bitcoin adds to the blockchain.

I don't think you can consider that someone who is plugging a few usb on its computer to mine is "working in Bitcoin" (whatever that means)

A big miner that makes thousands a month could be consider "working in Bitcoin" even if he makes more with his other job

True that it's sad that the value has kind of taken a dive at this time.
