I will give u 15 btc + about 11 market value of other casascius coins. So 26 total btc.

Assuming the coin is real. Will need escrow, of someone who can verify its authenticity. I will also ship to escrow.

Not for nothing, but that ebay listing is likely to be taken down.  While ebay auctions are not legally binding contracts, putting things like, "BIDDING REQUIREMENTS :- CURRENT PRICE OF 25BTC AND ABOVE, NOT BOUND TO SELL IF RESERVE PRICE NOT MEET"  are not going to be viewed as acceptable by ebay.  I'm not reporting you or anything, just letting you know.

New sellers have restrictions. Dont think he can put a reserve. Especially for that value.

OK, I believe this coin being sold is a fake, and am working towards proving this. <<NOW PROVEN>>

The reason I think this is twofold
1. I believe the font is wrong on that coin
2. I believe I hold the genuine coin

At best the authenticity of the coin is in question, whilst 2 people both claim to hold the same coin (ie one of the coins MUST be a fake)

The honourable thing would be to pull the sale of the coin, while this is sorted out. If the coin being sold on ebay and here is genuine, then it could be relisted. (and in that scenario by inference I hold a fake coin)

I bought the coin I hold through ebay, in August last year, Item number <<NOW REMOVED>>, from forum member te_platt

Pictures of the coin I hold are at
<<LINKS NOW REMOVED>>
The font of this coin is more in line with the font on the first bits I have seen on other coins, than the coin being sold on ebay.
Shame I am having to post the pics to demonstrate this, as they can then be used ... but I see no other way

I am trying to validate the audit trail for the coin I have, hopefully with help of the ebay seller I bought from, and from Mike C, this will happen

Obviously what I really dont want to have to do, is open the coin I have to get the BTC's, and prove my coins authenticity, and ruin the coin in the process

Like I say, I am pretty sure the coin I have is sound. But I cant yet prove this beyond 'all reasonable doubt'. But it does cast a cloud of the validity of this other coin - at least until this gets resolved.

<<EDIT - See post from Mike C at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=437465.new#new >>

OP should upload high quality scans (not these distorted fisheye like pics on ebay), but probably we'll never hear from him if its true that your coin has the same firstbits...

I am from Delhi too, If OP is legit he should have no problem in coming at my place and showing coin to me.

But as monkeynuts and casacius said, it's a fake.

good thing he turned down my offer, i might have gotten scammed here.

quick question OT, if i was gonna do this, i would have insisted on sending to escrow.. my coins included.

if the escrow makes the switch and mails out the coins... would i take the loss, or would the escrow be at fault?

We have to be careful in future. Can nothing be done about the fact that it is still selling on eBay. Someone is bidding over 5k at the moment.

This auction is still going on ebay ....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Funded-Casascius-25-BTC-Physical-Bitcoin-2011-V2-/281255345385?ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:GB:3160#ht_419wt_1399

I have told them twice and they havent pulled the auction

You need to end this auction yourself Tradus. There are 5 hours left, and its running at $20k ..

Let us know what happens when you open the coin. We all need to be aware of what you find
