A few of us are this old:

Some are this age and very rich:

Sadly many of the younger ones cannot be trusted:

Hopefully over time we can attract honest young people?

The average age of new accounts registering here this month:

Most of them are less than 30. Most early adapters are gamers.

I am a little older than the average Bitcoin user.  I am also female.  What percentage of users does that put me in?  0.001?  Wink

Will bitcoin ever go mainstream with people currently over ~55?
Answer:
It would have to get extremely popular (like Facebook)
Long-term: The current group of young people will teach the next generation.

Sorry for digging up this old vote, but I wonder if the demographic has changed much these days.

Would it be OK to post a similar poll? Im curious, young people tend to be more optimistic in my view (I'm middle aged) and I wonder if there are now more people my age getting involved with crypto currency.

Making a thread now!

I hope when I am 67 I am not so "Set in my ways" and I am willing to explore new thoughts and ideas, so bravo to you!  So many people get to a point in their lives where they seem to be stuck it seems and not want to learn anything.
