First I thought it was Monster Beverage that was going to start their coin, and I was surprised to find out they are in financial difficulties. But Monster Products Inc, yeah they are going down and they've just copied the recipe from Kodak/Atari/Venezuela. When in trouble, start some crypto/blockchain rumors and have an ICO.

I do not think all big companies have to spend their own coins. The cryptogafi world promises but that does not mean all altcoins can grow and dominate the market like bitcoin.
The more altcoin yng appear then the more will make the competition between altcoin become more stringent. For a strong altcoin and have a lot of fans, maybe they can still survive but for altcoins that have no fans will only end in death.
