lol not even close. that color and the series name (UD7) suggest that it's a high end board designed for overclocking. it's going to be $400+

I wish.

The current model ($379)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128472

If I remember right when this model first launched it was $450+.

Yeah X79 is a new chipset and socket but this is Gigabytes top of the top of the topline model.  You won't even see a refurb OEM going for <$299.

It only has 4 slots......  and I dont see any onboard controls (on/off/reset)

I think the best board for the money is the MSI gd70

It has a total of 7 pic-e slots

The buttons are hard to see from that photo but check this one with on the fly OC

I'm curious how they could have wired that, i have a feeling the 1x slots may be disabled when the 16x are in use unless they've connected them to the PCH instead of the cpu's onlboard pci express bus

"If we don't hang together, by Heavens we shall hang separately." - Benjamin Franklin

If you found that funny or something i said useful i always appreciate spare change

I am almost certain the 1x are through the PCH.

Technically it could support even more (total of 8 PCIe lanes).
