on another day i do the same transaction with the same amount and
than it took 3 days before it is completed.
Can somebody tell me why? Do i have influence on it?

Transaction times depends on how much are you paying on fees.

On this website you can see how much you should pay in fees for confirmation in a determined amount of time.
https://estimatefee.com/

The catch is, fees vary a lot depending on network congestion. Fees are now very low, and you definitely should consolidate small inputs now. Fees are as low as 7 years ago.

It is hard to belive that some transaction need 3 days to be confirmed these days, even if you pay 1 satoshis/byte or total 226 satoshis you will get confirmation in more or less 1 hour. Maybe you are think of some other coin or you may have misunderstood something in the whole process of sending coins. But after you read few post I think that some things will be much clearer for you Smiley

A bit more detail would go a long way to help you understand how to help you.

By transaction time, are you referring to the time it takes for your transaction to be signed and broadcast? Until nodes are aware of your tx, they cannot verify and add it into blocks. If you're relying on a third party to do this for you, then there's no way you can influence it. If you're using your own wallet, it's usually a simple fix of ensuring you're connected to the network and broadcasting the tx - this usually just simply means being online.

Or are you referring to confirmation times of your tx? As above, you can only influence it if using your own wallet where you can set your own fees. As Lucius points out though, the network has been extremely free these past few months, where even a low fee should get you confirmed in 6 blocks/about 1 hour. Hell, I can still see 4 0-fee txs being confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Hello, you did not clarify which wallet you used in translation. by the way you can use gas indicator when you send your btc or eth or any alt coins. If you give correct gas i think it would not take 3/4 days.

That's a handy site. I've been using the following two sites when judging how much fees to pay when making transactions. The first gives you an idea of how long various fees are taking to process, and the second gives you a nice graphical representation of how full the mempool is right now:

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ Edit: As pointed out below, this site overestimates required fees.

I would not use this site as it overestimates fees way too much. Right now it's estimating 10 sat/byte needed for the next block, but 1 sat/byte is going through at the same speed (I sent a 1 sat/byte transaction 5 minutes ago, and it confirmed next block)

taking a break - expect delayed responses

No one suggested Coinbin?

The most accurate I ever used (so far): https://coinb.in/#fees

Never overpay in fees.

Wow, you are absolutely right. It's completely obvious as well, yet I've never noticed before. Looks like it is grouping 1-5 in with 6-10, 11-15 in with 16-20, and so forth.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Bitcoinfees.earn.com was fine when fees were quite high... it was fairly accurate. It is only since the mempool shrank and fees dropped to single digits that it has been constantly overestimating... I think 10 sats/byte is like the minimum amount it can recommend.

+1 vote for jochen-hoenicke.de and the coinb.in calculator Wink

That's good to know for two reasons: One, I wasn't overpaying fees for no reason, and two, I'm not a complete moron for not noticing before.  Cheesy

You can accelerate your transaction using:
https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

This helped many times in the past, but your transaction must have minimum of 0.0001 BTC of fees in order to be accepted.

You have just to put your Transaction ID and fill the Captcha, and you it's done.

You must choose the right time to submit your TXID since i think only 100 transactions accepted each hours.

What kind of hash rate you used? Was it sent as normal or priority ? it all depends upon this factor.

Wow.

'Hash rate' is completely irrelevant when sending a transaction.
It is being talked about hash rate in context mining or network strength.

Additionally there is no 'priority'. Some wallets may display a 'priority' calculated from the fee.
However, a priority does not exist. If you want to get your TX confirmed faster, send a higher fee. But sending a fee which is higher than the recommended for 1 block would be a waste.
Check this site and this one to choose the correct fee.

The time it takes for a transaction to be confirmed only depends on the (1) amount of transactions in the mempool and (2) your fee compared to the other TX's fee. And of course on the (3) time it takes for a miner to find a block.
