Dogecoin may have started off as a joke and it may not be long term, but the simple fact is doge users are doing something positive in their communities.  What other coins out there are being actively used?  They're just being horded as a speculative investment and converted into USD.

As for value, my god take a look at AMC.  Probably one of the deadest coins out there and it's still profitable.
