I think that is the share of premine that i am holding and from which i made airdrop and bounty payments. I am holding 49985 coins, yes? If i send 5 coins to an address the rest of 49980 will be also moved to another address of my wallet. In a few minutes I will post a screen with the actual balance in my wallet, where you can see how many coins is the wallet holding and how many were transfered
it is called unspent output
please, provide your links meanwhile and feel free to ask us every time you are confused to sort things out

Its a good way of increasing privacy and security

Not necessarily pivx behaviour. For any wallet if you have just one input and you send out coins less than the input the wallet still uses your whole input for the transaction and gets back a change.

yes, it only has one input. staking was stopped on both pre-mined wallets so it will not split its holding into multiple addresses

A bit like you use a $100 bill to pay for $5 purchase.
This behaviour is one of the reasons to break up your big holdings into smaller inputs, then use coin control to select specific inputs for a transaction.
