Hello, I boutgh 3 asic miner of 335Mh/s and I can setup them with bfgminer, but one of them it's not found by the bfgminer.

I think it must be burned or something, but the LED is on when I plug it to USB, can it be something else, or it's really burned?

thanks

For Windows: you need to install the Silicon Labs drivers and use zadig to change the driver to WinUSB.

Then you should be able to mine with the latest version of cgminer or bfgminer.

You know what, I just tried that with my miners thinking that it may fix the 4 to 1 hardware error ratio I have been getting with my Antminers in BFGminer. And I noticed that WinUSB driver seems to kick all the UART's right out of the Com port list and it stopped BFGminer from seeing any of the ASIC's. I had to revert to a simpler VM image to correct that problem.

It wont see any of those ASIC's when I install that Zadig program, how can it work for him? Oh and that image was taken before Zadig was installed. In the device manager, installing Zadig to correct the driver moves all your devices off Com ports to a new list called "Universal Serial Bus Devices" and that causes BFG miner to not see them

Zadig is a tool that allows you to switch between different Windows drivers for a given USB device.

It looks like this for me:

The name on the left is the current driver, and the name on the right is the one that will replace it when you click the button.

It worked for my Antminer U1s too, but I'm using cgminer (the custom version/fork provided by BITMAIN)

I'm not sure it will fix your HW errors though

Yes my window looks just like that to, only thing is...when you look at your device manager after changing the drivers, it pulls it out of the com ports, changes the device to something else, and yet my miners will still not get detected by that CGminer (the one supplied by bitmain) it sees no USB hardware period.

I'm hoping someone can help me with the hardware errors to, passing the USB devices to the VM works nice for the erupters but not with Antminer, my screen shot is picture proof that Antminer U1's can't deliver. To me there is no excuse to have hardware errors super exceed the amount of accepted hashes. There not even working at the advertised speed of 1.6 Ghps like they are suppose to be.

Either you have a jacked up miner, or you're not doing it correctly.

The zadig driver NEEDS to be installed.

Stick one miner in the usb slot, install the driver... remove the miner, reinstall.

Start the cgminer (bitmain's miner) and make sure the command line is correct.

After it starts and you see it hashing, plug the remaining miners in and it will recognize them.

If any of the above fail, you've done something wrong.
