$0.1 USD per coin? I highly doubt it. There are other more professional and potential projects out there but they are valued even less. I am all for positive thinking and optimism but this is absurd. I don't see how this HYCON coin offers anything new to the market.

Sorry to rain on your parade but i would not waste time mining this, whether it be on a simple notebook or on mining rigs.

All attempts to mine this coin ended unsuccessfully, at first there was no synchronization for a long time, then waited for an eternity, until at least one block was found - but never waited. Probably it's too late to jump into the already departed train.

Hello Guys,

Just sharing my experience with Hycon  Mining ( They delivered MainNet 3 days ago from this date.)

I start one day after launch , my mining on CPU , simple Mac Air I7 , i have some rigs, but build in to run using xmrig-nvvidia https://github.com/Team-Hycon/hycon-core , still hard to me . So i jump on CPU miner to check , and as the dificulty is low (yet) , you can got good profits.

So, price ICO of Hycon

1 HYCON - 0,1 USD

After running correctly on my mac, using nohup and "&" on the end of command to mine, i got some hycons on my wallet.

( if you want you can dowload and run today, probably will get some profits also)

I tried on windows without success.

The mine is simple, you just download and run, wallet auto creation on terminal make the process easy. With parameter --api you run on localhost a administration page of your wallet.

I take some screenshots .:

https://imgur.com/a/hxsBHJZ

Miner running - Image1

Anothers images - Administration page and wallet - i got 720 HYCONS on ~24hours mining CPU

My speed - ? Horrible -> [2018-06-02 19:21:04.968] [INFO] CpuMiner - CPU Hashrate: 15 H/s

But with low difficulty is good to mine , yet..

My profit now (using base price ICO )    720 x 0,1 = 72USD , ( not bad, im on notebook always on, set 3 CPUs to work.)

I used that command on mac -> nohup ./hycon --api --api_port=2442 --cpuMiners=3 &

*nohup to unlock command
* & to not lock my terminal.
* logs are on nohup.out on same folder.

Download and running and to me works -> https://github.com/Team-Hycon/hycon-core/releases

On ICO, i bougth ~840 Hycons, and now, some people, started running CPU miner on same point of launch, and some guys has a 300 000 HYCON  Shocked Shocked (rich guys now lol)

So, still have time to get some money.

enjoy guys  Smiley

*If someone has knowledge how to build xmrig-nvidia to mine on Gpus to windows and want share, i will aprecciate.
(i tried here , but after one day with no success, i need a drink for now.  Grin )
I think CPU mining is not fit for long term because processor is always active region in mining and cooling fan is not controlled in life time. So anytime it will affected in future because most of the miners are only preferred in GPU mining. If you earn good profit in CPU mining you will continue to your journey.

i used macbook on the first days of launch, every day blockchain increase and is impossible to mine forever with cpu on mac, this is start launch time of mainnet, so CPU still get some profits. to me is good, because is not using a lot of resources of my machine for now.

Hi guys,

It doesn't work. I'm receiving the following error:
Error: Upnp Port mapping failed, please confirm your router supports UPNP and that UPNP is enabled or you just not behind the NAT, Hycon will use your local port:8148

[2018-06-05 11:53:53.930] [INFO] Network - All Peers 0

[2018-06-05 11:53:57.915] [INFO] CpuMiner - CPU Hashrate: 0 H/s

Tried another network, but still the same error. Can anyone help?

Thanks!  Undecided

Disable firewall, antivirus, and others networkers blockers.

And try again.

On windows i not got sucess. Just in mac i run without problems.

I got in, but still no peers, I guess it's a fairly new coin?

It opens up a new window on my internet tab, to track what's going on? I'll let you guys know in the morning if it picks anything up?

You arent mining .  I think the better is open a issue on github to team see what is happens.
I used a mac, with windows i got same problem of you. So im trying now windows with GPU, just need fix CUDA drivers, but im not stop to fix this issue yet.

I have found this topic ( https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig-nvidia/issues/63 ) on Github, they are talking about same problem as far as I can see. So I guess problem is either in CUDA drivers or maybe in this compute capacity. Either way, I guess this could help you in finding the solution for GPU mining on windows or some other OS.

~snip~

Hahaha, yes work hard and play hard..

That's technologies (mining in general) is really amazing, to me , make profit with computers is a magical world, i really not understand how people may not be enthusiastic about it. hahah..

Hycon is a hidded gem founded with a big work , many nights reading and reading. hahaha.

After found, i share always. I hope people follow , sometimes they no understood the work behind a simple post as this. eheheh.. but i will try help community always, the life is not easy, so if all people help each other.

I will continue, i hope sometime i receive good profits on future ehehe Smiley

Keep going.
I read a lot of pessimistic comment on what you were doing (I wouldn't argue on this side), that was a useful input for you, trust me! I saw a lot of new miners could only ask blah, blah, blah, but you are not, you have a good effort.  Wink

One question , if you can help me , , do you know how can i receive merits on bitcointalk ?

Well, even I only receive a bit merits so far, lol.

But
You on the way to go to get merits, just remember! "merit" is nothing, keep spread useful things then merits will come to you.   Cheesy

For anybody with the issue with connecting to peers, this worked for me on windows 10 and mac os:

To resolve:

(1) go to http://hplorer.com/peers
(2) open a shell and try to ping the hosts on the peer list ("ping xxx.xxx.xx.xx") until you find one that does not time out:
_MacBook-Pro:~ dump_rat$ ping 116.122.128.49
PING 116.122.128.49 (116.122.128.49): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 116.122.128.49: icmp_seq=0 ttl=40 time=249.023 ms
64 bytes from 116.122.128.49: icmp_seq=1 ttl=40 time=224.698 ms
64 bytes from 116.122.128.49: icmp_seq=2 ttl=40 time=255.991 ms_
^Z

(3) open your launch script and add parameter to force peer (use the value in the "connection string" column for the valid host you previously pinged).
./hycon --api --api_port=2442 --peer 116.122.128.49:63975 --cpuMiners=1 $@

After forcing the connection to one peer, other peers were discovered and I was synced in ~10 mins or so.

I've had some success mining on https://minehycon.com .  There is no dashboard yet but it pays out after every mined block, so payouts are quite consistent.
