Other coins might be cheaper, but are they as secure as Bitcoin? We have just seen successful 50% attacks on smaller Alt coins, because
these coins nearly have no miners mining these coins and the ones mining these coins have more than 50% of the hashing power. A lot of them are just riding on the popularity and success of Bitcoin , like Bitcoin Cash and as soon as people who are pumping these coins, start dumping their coins, then the whole Alt coin collapse. 

Be very careful of these so-called Pump n Dump coins.

BTC price is always high based on their customer’s get that types of benefits but many coins are coming and they are low price. Basically in market there is lots of scam coins so before investing money investigate properly also its good to buy new coin but its unpredictable that they will give profit or not.

For me personally, it is better to buy cheaper coin than buying bitcoin.

Just because the market cap of an altcoin is 1/100 of BTC, this doesn't mean that it will have bigger gains.

I think almost everything is at bottom right now and it wouldn't hurt to invest at the moment. One such coin which is really attractive is Golem and the next is IOSToken.
The reason to invest in IOST is that it has been listed on HitBtc which is the sixth most famous exchange and two of the major Indian exchanges, which are Zebpay and Koinex.
More the number of exchanges, more the trading volume, and hence better the returns. Do not shy away from investing in this coin at this point of time.

Investing on the upcoming altcoins is profitable for short term because many altcoins will fail to stay longer so there comes high risks.But bitcoin is always premium and still you can make decent money by investing on the long term because we can see that bitcoin is making huge growth every year.

What promo's are you talking? those ICOs? be careful on what ICO you're choosing just because of the promo's you're talking about.

You understand the logic on how you should consider if it's the right time to buy. You don't buy crypto's during ATHs or you're only feeling FOMO.

Buying cheaper crypto while bitcoin is high can be a good alternative if you are not into altcoins. But also take note that when bitcoin is cheaper, don't doubt of buying it.

That is a good strategy to buy cheapEr coin and invest in altcoin then if you gain much profit then you can buy some bitcoin to hold it. Or it is good to start trading to earn more money in buying bitcoins.
