Not if you plan to hodl for the long term investment and dont care about short term movements. To many people that is the most important part of investing in crypto, long term potential

300 USD price increments are neither pumps nor dumps, it’s just normal price movements. It’s perfectly safe & I’d argue a good idea to invest now. Anything under 10,000 USD is cheap coins.

I don't understand, when the price was going down, it was "the market might not recover" now that the price is improving, "its now a trap to buy" the reason for making such conclusion is because of the Japanese that I don't fully grasp. The market is open to anybody to operate and decide what you want to do with the currency phenomenon. I was surprised that you were discouraging people to buy but not encouraging others to sell when it would have been a profit position for someone who bought yesterday. Anyways, time they say, will tell. I read your earlier posts and I was more convinced than before. When there was $100 increment, it was someone who caused it, now its $300, it the whole of Japanese that are the culprits now if the price increase to $8000 I wonder who you would ascribe the credit to.

Well, holding is always important in buying bitcoin if ever the price won't increase these coming days holding is the best option but if bitcoin price would increase more it's too late for you to buy a cheap price of bitcoin so it is always a good choice if you buy bitcoin than you are just waiting for the price of bitcoin to increase or drop because you are wasting the opportunity to buy at low prices.
Everything in cryptocurrency is unpredictable so why would you waste this opportunity?

Who knows? What if the price go higher and you missed the opportunity now to buy at a lower price. Its not a gamble as long as you will hold it in long term and you know when to exit in the market. I really think this market will start now to pump again, slowly but surely.

In a long term and higher risk-taking sense, I think that's correct. And if you don't own any BTC, it's probably a good idea to buy some. Markets are unpredictable, and the true bottom is only recognizable in hindsight.

However, as someone who has some coins tucked away for the long term already, I've got fiat waiting on the sidelines for a more convincing end to the correction. We could still be going to the $3,000s here (possibly even lower) so I want to maximize the bang for my buck. I'll either get a worse price with better odds of uptrend continuation, or a much better price. We'll see which. Smiley

A new theory about the Bitcoin price speculation, thank you
I do not expect your words to be correct because the price does not go in a linear pattern every Monday or has a relationship with days.
The price corrects the weekly losses, we see the green color, but the price is still lower than the previous days and months.
The swing inside a triangle of $ 6,000 to $ 10,000 continues.

Before the first milestone of 8.000$, it is early to take a position on bitcoin for me. I will wait for $8.000 to buy bitcoin and alts. If bitcoin goes to $8.500’s immediately, I will give a buying order at 8.100-8300 range. As Ripple and BCH gained movement dramatically, I feel that a new bull run is starting. But TA results say that we should break the 8.000$ wall to confirm the bull run. If you will keep your bitcoin more than 6 months, you can buy bitcoin with your fiat any time at these prices. Good luck for all of us !

yes buying now is a gamble,  so make sure to buy what amount you can afford to lose to prevent regrets. And always bear in mind to don't jump quick to any false news about the circumstances of the growth rate 'cause nowadays fuds always exist to intimidate. So you must make your own research before making decisions,  and always control your emotions to avoid panicking , or exit immediately if you gained enough profits to ensure your money and profits  is safe .

You won't lose if you can hold longer, even there's risk buying bitcoin as of now the possibilities that it will bounce up is always possible, no matter whales works with the market there's still new investors that will gamble and pumped the value, its all about patience and how long will you treat your investment, this asset can bring a good fortune after some years.

It is in the red as per what I stated!
Be careful: This market has lost participants and the institutional money will take time.
There is no reason for the market to go up unless there is a 1000 USD pump in the BTC price!

Yeah seriously, that's not even a .5% change. Wake me up when it is 10%+. The Japanese sell on Monday? What evidence do we have for this? Increased volume on Japanese exchanges?

there is a lot of things wrong with this topic. the most obvious one that everyone else is talking about is the fact that  talking about a tiny rise or fall as if it is a big deal is just showing the lack of mathematical understanding of numbers.
second thing which is ignored because the first one was so absurd is the fact that OP is assuming that people from a certain country (in his case Japan) wake up in the morning a certain day of the week ever week and decide they want to sell! LOL

There is a FOMO brewing...

I don't think couple of small local markets would affect bitcoin price that much. Just look at its capitulation. Bitcoin is at somewhere like %1 of global wealth.. It takes too many players to dump it.

Yes, people still don't have any hope whether bitcoin start increasing or going to loose the value again and again. Yes, you are right any investment below $10k is always the right choice for investing.

You have to take into account that the price action on all
exchanges is closely related due to arbitrage.

If the price on a legit exchange is trading for a few % higher or lower than at all other exchanges,
this creates an arbitrage opportunity, which brings the price on the
respective exchange in line with the other exchanges.

The only exchanges that trade significantly lower or higher than
the global market are either sketchy exchanges (which people avoid
due to fear of losing their funds) and exotic exchanges in countries
where deposits are difficult for people from outside the country.

I add my personal opinion in overcoming the news of how much bitcoin costs, and up or down,
I am just simple if you are investing for the medium and long term I guess you do not have to worry with bitcoin prices up and down and as if messed up, but if you make short-term investments even trade you certainly will continue to monitor prices clearly, analyze it from various sources and aspects, but certainly bitcoin will continue to exist as well as cypto because bitcoin is the mother of altcoin, so it is natural that bitcoin will embrace all become more comfortable and confident. do not panic relaxed and cool, passion and success for all of us

talking about a tiny rise or fall as if it is a big deal is just showing the lack of mathematical understanding of numbers.

In many cases, I'd say you're correct. In this case, price is in a tightening range for the past 4 months. As such, it will take increasingly small moves for a technical breakout to occur as time goes on.

As John Bollinger likes to say, "it's time to pay attention." The 1-week BBs have not been this tight since April 2017 (i.e. directly before the last bubble). The next move should be big.
