I've been tossing this idea around in my head. I'm wondering what the ultimate RAID 0 setup would be in a consumer-level desktop. Would this RAID 0 contain the new generation of SandForce SSDs with their near-100k IOPS and 500+ MB/S Read/Write speeds (which would only increase in a RAID0)? Or, would the 10,000 RPM HDDs be more desirable? Obviously, each style drive has its own pros and cons, but the issue at hand is this: What is the absolute best overall consumer-grade RAID-0?

It's all about the game, and how you play it

It's defined by your workload, the best setups currently employ a decent size ssd with a high performance hdd for the bulk of the storage.

I intentionally avoided a single specific definition in favor of one that would apply to the enthusiast crowd, gamers and bitcoiners alike.

I suppose primary (or any level, for that matter) storage doesn't really matter for BTC Miners, but still...
