What are the regulations for ICO startups in your country?

Hi all,

I'm currently busy with the concept for a new ICO - the details will follow later. Although I'm really curious about which regulatory environment it is interesting to start legally.
I live in The Netherlands myself, and there is nothing clear about taxation, regulation and government influence. So my main questions would be:
- How is the taxation arranged in your country?
- Is the regulation of blockchain a hot-topic in your country? And is local government discussing adoption?
- Is it hard to register as an ICO for the official authorities?

In my country, ICO is not allowed to exist, because in the eyes of the government, ICO is a fraud.
They only recognize the value of the blockchain, but they don't need ICO

In July Russian government going to launch a bill, where cryptomarket a relations on this market and ICO will be regulated. How this impact on crypto traders, holders etc, on practice, is still unclear.

In India there are almost regulations about the whole ICO thing. My government is just declaring that they dont accept bitcoin as the legal tender and stuff similar to empty threats !

However I can see that ICO formation is accelerating in my country and there seems no obstacle from the government side yet. This could be because of the fact that my country is busy with other kind of regulation and modification and they have little time to solve problems like bitcoin and ICO etc.

However, they will impose some strict rules surely as they have already made one mega change for example, 18% taxes on all the crypto transactions. So im not sure what that will effect the ICO fund raising.

A very strange fact, but in my country there is no such regulation, everyone is trying to comply with the rules that exist in the US, that is, the SEC, it seems to me that it is not right to think so, because for the most part this does not apply to other countries.

Thanks for the detailed information. Personally I would not like to move to a tropical island where no regulations are at all. So Switzerland (Zug) or Canada seems the best options to me. Hope anyone got experience with this and can share some insights

The icos still not yet to be considered as an illegal thing. But that's our own risk to participate in it.
The taxation still not yet implemented and the local exchange site in my country is getting a taxation from the regulators.
About the third question and i'm not sure about that, the regulation framework about ico still not yet released. This based in my knowledge about the crypto in my country.

A lot of countries does not have a specific regulations in this sectors,but there are many lawyers in North of Europe that have a lot of knowledge in this sectors.If you really want understand how works the system asks to people with legal experience or previous experience in blockchain companies.
This is the year of the boom of blockchain startup so,i think,that soon all countries will have a own regulation.

Could you let me know where you are located? Like I said, in Europe Zwitserland is still the best option, but sure will go for a legal opinion about that first.

Neutra but there was already a case of scams happening where Bitcoin is being involved in investing. The case was closed as it is but that is kind of a bell for government to check in what is going on for real inside Bitcoin transaction. I even think it is the matter of time for people in my country to become knowledgeable to cryptocurrency and not just Bitcoin. Regulation should also be a thing.
