Posting as an audio file

When I looked at my forum stats, I saw that the most viewed thread was fairly short, but contained an audio file. do you think it would be an interesting idea to post as an audio file rather than text?  Of course there would need to be an explanatory paragraph in text so that readers could decide if they want to listen. My instict is that it is not a good idea, but it does have some advantages, especially for longer texts.
- It removes the cut and paste posting
- Plagiarism would be harder.
- Threads would be shorter, especially if a poster includes a full quote.
- Readers wouldn't have to keep passing over long text blocks when revisiting a thread.
- No spelling mistakes.

Preventive and Social med isn't the best thing someone studied but what I found interesting is this image (similar to this exactly / written in french but it is easy to understand)

If anyone want to see others learning from him then better to avoid long texts and use audiovisual materials. This may help.

Edit : that's the main difference between us. 1 picture (media in general) could say what a long boring text could not.

I really hate those images, and it's one of the reasons I put people on ignore. It really slows down my scanning of the thread. I'd be grateful if you could replace it with a link.

I for one would very rarely, if ever, listen to an audio file for a number of reasons:

- I can read an awful lot faster than most audio
- I'm not big on downloading random files, which can also sometimes be difficult and slow via VPN and Tor
- If browsing on a mobile device, I'm not wasting limited bandwidth downloading an audio file
- If I'm in a public place, I'm not opening an unknown audio file

Additionally, that's even with the audio file having perfect English and grammar. If the grammar and syntax is poor, it's a lot easier to decipher text than it is audio.

I started it because of the viewing stats in my forum. As I stated, I thought it might be a way to reduce thread size for a long post. It looks as if it isn't going to be a popular idea, so if I don't get a positive response in the next couple of posts, then I'll close the thread.

Personally, I don't think this should be a thread - mainly because it mirrors discussion threads that don't seem to have a purpose. Like I said, this discussion won't really go anywhere since it's up to the content creator to decide on how they will present it - whether it be text, images, or audio.

But I re-read my last sentence and it sounds harsher than I intended - sorry. No hard feelings.

It was just an instant reaction when i saw the stats. I think that embedding an audio file would be really bad,but i thought that a link might be useful. I might use it if a suitable topic turns up, but it seems that the community doesn't like the idea, and that's what I wanted to discover.
