As all of the altcoins get huge dumps in price only due to bitcoin fluctuations, would it benefit if there were no bitcoin?

It's too early to predict a bitcoin extinction and altcoins are too immature to survive a bitcoin extinction at the moment.
Though I believe someday in future, alts will kill and eatup the mother bitcoin to have a life of their own.

The proposition is incorrect. Bitcoin is the basis for the existence of all altcoins. If there is no success before Bitcoin, who would believe the altcoins? I think that if there is no bitcoin, the value of these altcoins are 0.

It all started with bitcoin and bitcoin is like the ocean is for the earth.
Economically there are wider varieties of bitcoin investors than any other crypto, there are larger number of exchange, companies, merchant having bitcoin as the base currency.
Bitcoin is the reason we are not having a very large fluctuation in crypto price or generalise it as bitcoin is the sole reason of survival of crypto currency at least at current times.

I guess with there or no bitcoin does not affect any thing. Indeed bitcoin is often an indicator of when the market goes up or down, but if a coin is good and has a great product, then there's no reason anymore for his coins to keep growing.

Hard to tell. People say alts go up because of Bitcoin. This is true, but its not even. Bitcoin goes up and alts go up. Bit coin goes down, but alts go down twice as much. So from the ATH Bitcoin might be down 60%, but most alts are down like 90%. We get hurt more every time.

Yeah take out bitcoin and then no money will get out anymore. All will be stucked in the internet or the companies that you have invested it with. They will just clap in happiness for doing that. After bitcoin extinction then it will be a crypto massacre. Nothing will be left. I will bet all my money for that. Who wants to bet?  That is one hell of a news that will question every crypto currency. Remember, ICO are already an apple of the eye of the governments. I am sure they will also be taken out once the Father is dead. |

Crypto community would never be benefited from bitcoin extinction.Altcoin always depend on bitcoin and if there is no bitcoin than there will be no altcoin either. Bitcoin is the number one cryptocurrency. Without it crypto will gain only damage.

Poor understanding about the bitcoin price valuation,if the bitcoin will extinct then the altcoins may not survive for too long so the bitcoin is very much important for the crypto future,no bitcoins means no crypto currencies.  |

in my opinion we will move on from bitcoin centric crypto market. As the time goes on more alts will be introduced to fiat pairing and since we get tremendous progress on its tech development (scaling, main net, dapps,etc) someday the price of alts will outpace the bitcoin so we will move on from bitcoin since many people will understand that crypto has more than utility rather than value transactions. |

Bitcoin is the first coin in this crypto market that has earned huge popularity among the investors. When investors come to this market they either invest all in the bitcoin or most of the investment in this coin. If there is no bitcoin then I think the market will lose many of its potential investors. This will affect the altcoins also.

The possibility of Bitcoi being extinct is very small because Bitcoin is the main base of Altcoin and if Bitcoin is no longer accessible, perhaps the entire cryptourrency market will rise in price as more tokens buyers in the crypto market are unable to access Bitcoin or Bitcoin extinct. That's in my opinion.

I don't see altcoins can survive without bitcoin, this is not gonna happen because bitcoin is too good for this market. Altcoins will be good if bitcoin will stay and I think this whole market is being originated from bitcoin so basically without this cryptocurrency is nothing. I know they all have their own function now but investors will not let that things to happen.
