Go for Feathercoin I hope so. FTC is the most I've got invested in cryptos haha. Maybe I should've sold when it was over £1, but hopefully it'll get there again sometime this year.

So, for the ones who know nothing about other cryptocurrencies, why should they try them instead of others?
My suggestion would be to support purely open-source decentralized currencies only, and to find the ones that strongly believe "community comes first". The key to building a successful coin is in building a vibrant and healthy community. Other strategies can work but they will inherently be restricted in scope and scale. The strongest trees are those that grow slowly and have deep roots.

12 Months might be longer if you got more GPUs. It's just a matter of extra money left for the electricity. Then you'd be very glad to withdraw other people's fiat.

LTC was created as ASIC resistance. But ASICs for it(and other simple scrypt coins) already exists. Why then need LTC ? So something will come to replace it. It will be: 1) No premine 2) Long term ASIC resistance(51% attack resistance) 3) GPU effective utilization ("CPU only" cryptocurrency is zoo for botnets) 4) Multipool resistance 5) Trade on major exchanges Anyone who invest in replacement LTC - and become rich.
No. ASICs bring important value to this coins. You'll see a significant rise of all mature scrypt coins soon. Custom hardware brings value. GPU got a resell value for all people out there, so the initial investment isnt only for Crypto, that completely changes in terms of ASICs. Bright future for Scrypt coming.

Probably pretty unpopular thought, but I think ethereum might become the most profitable altcoin in the future. In regards to the whitepaper technology that is discussed, Ethereum is one of the few currencies that is proposing solutions to problems the already overused Bitcoin protocol has when implementing new functionality (Colored Coins etc). Some of the more creative currencies coming out now have absurdly long transaction times (No SPV) and can be attributed to building under or ontop of the Bitcoin protocol.
Their are some other alt currencies I think might have value are ones testing/experimenting: NUT - has an anti dumping mechanism built in where the imposed transaction limit of coins is 50k coins per transaction for the next 4 years. Raising overtime, this does not stop people from selling entire dat files loaded with the coins but lessens the chance people will ever dump their coin before it starts becoming scarce and the imposed transaction limits are doubled as time goes on.
Generic ones I think might do well: DGB - I think is a bit underrated, the transactions are quick seems pretty well done DOGE - This is pretty popular and the # of coins is high enough where many people can acquire it now so people feel "rich", especially those who might have never considered acquiring any type of currency before. Unfortunately if this currency gains more popularity I see it already gaining traction with the younger generation. Once masses understand and adapt the technology who knows what might happen

I think either just BTC or LTC. I've got quite a few LTC and bought them cheap so they're the coin that I can probably profit most from.

Wrong question: people how took part in Nxt IPO become rich in few days...
Correct question: which one will be relevant in two years from now?

I reckon BTC is a safe bet. I doubt most of these alts will even be around or up to much later this year.

Getting rich would be asking too much but its obvious that making big profits is mostly possible by finding a good alt-coin. I want to believe in GrainCoin. Lets see whats gonna happen.
