At first you will have to ensure the security of your private key that you need to login the account. Sometimes it happens that we mistakenly or due to carelessness keep our private key unsafe on the site. Sometimes you keep our account inline when we are not there. So keep your account offline when you are not there.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

you can use some add-on for it. I am using those add-ons in my chrome browser, First off all you need to bookmark https://www.myetherwallet.com/ site in your browser.after that add EAL https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/etheraddresslookup/pdknmigbbbhmllnmgdfalmedcmcefdfn and Cryptonite https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cryptonite-by-metacert/keghdcpemohlojlglbiegihkljkgnige all those help you a lot

Sometimes the simplest way of protecting your funds are the best.

Bookmark MEW, write your private keys on paper and don't click unusual websites and always check the spelling and characters of the website you are visiting.

How secure your Myetherwallet form Phising attack?
what kind of security you provied and what are the precautions from phishing attcack?
First you should be aware on the correct URL link of myetherwallet itself or either bookmark it into your browser so that you wont able to click other similar name phishing sites on google search. 2nd, having a clean computer which is clean from any malware or viruses, 3rd keep your keys as safe as you can either you do wrote it on a paper or store it up on a USB with either having 2-3 copies then store or hide it up into a place that no one knows or can steal it up.

myetherwallet never has problem with phishing attack, they are FUD.
Protect yourself and don't paste your private keys in strange sites because that way you make yourself vulnerable to attacks.

For security way, you can download imtoken and link it to your myetherwallet; that way you get to view your balances on imtoken any time any seconds, instead of just using myetherwallet.com site every time

So get modern and download imtoken app and stay safe.

I added MEW to my chromes extension and I don't get to import using my private key on decentralized exchanges instead I use Metamask which is equally added to my chromes extension.

To protect yourself from phishing on the Myetherwallet resource, use the METAMASK plugin.

You also need to check the ssl certificate (green bar)
