People dont want to vote for some reasons. Some doesnt want the governing bodies, some dont want to waste a time to vote. Yet is that helping our country? Person who dont vote doesnt have the right compalain on what is happening to thier government for they dont even give an effort to vote. Voting is our right as a citezen of our country.

There is no point in voting. For example, I do not feel competent enough to make decisions about the future of a country. How to make a decision where to make the incision surgeon
But fortunately, my incompetent opinion influences anything, so I can scold politicians with a clear conscience.

Tell me one good thing that ever came from voting?  All it does is give some corrupt politician an appearance of legitimacy that he doesn't deserve. The best thing anyone could do is not vote and encourage everyone else to reject the system as well.

As I often joke about with regard to employee recommendation letters:

"Nobody would be a better option than this candidate."

We recently had election and only about a half of voters turned up for the vote.

Don't people realise it is their democratic right to vote, to be able to influence where we are going as society? Don't they realise what a priviledge this is compared to old times and places with no democracy. It is a duty and responsibility in my opinion. If you don't vote, then don't complain!
Do you still believe in elections?? Grow up mate and study what's really happening in the world. All those ass-licking guys serve the system that is here to enslave people. Wars still continue to happen no matter whom you choose. Basically there's nobody to be voted for other than those who who are shown in front of you. What if you wanna vote for somebody else? No, you cannot do that. That's the fact. Make your own conclusions

Well for what I believe is that , I guess there is no reason like enough reason to vote, because even if that voting system is based on ourselves or will it's not enough because face the fact that the voting system is not on the will of the voters but the will of the government there is vote buying and even cheating so i think they conclude the fact that there is no longer truth and just stop voting.

I think the current approach to voting has simply outlived itself. There is no precisely that confidence, which, in essence, should be in the hands of the people and the authorities.I think the best option for a real vote would be to use blockchain technology.(this is the technical side of voting). The second question is that there are simply no worthy candidates.Even with the use of new technologies, the lack of personnel causes apathy among voters.I don't want to talk about all countries.I'm talking about the country where I live. Here we have such a trend.

We recently had elections in my home country (the U.S.)

My current protocol is to vote in local county elections and (for now) in state-wide elections, but I will no longer vote in federal elections.  My feeling is that voting is part of a 'manufactured consent' psychological operation.  Having only a choice between two shitty candidates who are both selected by the ruling oligarchy is a sham.  I feel that by specifically NOT participating in the sham I am not giving my consent to be governed and not lending my support to the charade.

At this point I feel that the states and the people would be better off to dissolve the union and either start over again or govern themselves as autonomous sovereign units.  Equally important, the rest of the world would be MUCH better off if the union (the _United_ States) were dissolved.  Should this come to pass I hope it would happen peacefully and via the wishes of the super-majority of the people, but it is very unlikely to play out that way Sad  Probably the only way it will happen is under a 'conspiracy' engineered as a stepping-stone to consolidate the entire planet into a single governed entity.  That is to say, the so-called 'New World Order' that so many of 'our' so-called leaders cannot stop talking about.

Currently I would still give a state-sized unit some hope even though my state went very much backward in the most recent election and I don't see much hope that it will turn around and start moving forward again due to simple demographic trends and considerations.  At the county level I feel that things do operate fairly well, and I don't live in an incorporated area (e.g., a city.)

Not many people are interested in politics.
Most people don`t look beyond their plates. They are more concerned about their domestic affairs, their own mutual relations with other people and elementary comfort. That's all.
Politics is quite difficult, you need to understand it, spend time on it. And by the way have at least an average level of education.
It is necessary to accept that most people are just not interested in politics, they have better things to do.

Why even vote? You'll all be influenced by others at some point or another, so is that really your vote anymore? I'd like to see a campaign of a politician include his good and dark sides in it and I'll vote for him sure. But all these campaigns only include them acting "good". They do such a farce of things in the face of the media ONLY when it's time for elections.
Yes, some people lose their interest in voting because of the bad system that was happening now, we all know that every candidate now are doing their best to get the vote of the people, to the point that they do vote buying. Some people choose more to not vote because they see that it is nonsenss since some are doing bad things just to get the vote of the people. Sad but what is happening now was the one who was elected was the one who is more powerful even they can do the task of the real leaders should be.

BIG WINNER!

There are countries where people have to choose for the least worse leader, not for the best leader if you know what I'm saying.

I think most people who don't vote don't do it because they don't want to choose between 2 or more group of assholes who want to get their money from taxes. I think they don't want to choose between bad and bad so they don't vote because their choose would be a bad choose. I might be wrong

Hillary Clinton got more votes than Donald Trump and she still lost. Because U.S is not a democracy per se it is an Empire were a few have more power than many to decide the fate of the nation and their rulers

The U.S. is an 'empire', or at least an important part of someone's empire (for now), but that has nothing to do with the rules of our electoral system.  This is primarily a result of our being, technically, 'constitutional republic'.

Representatives democracies are supposed to work, and people are supposed to depend on them. In reality, they're kinda shit at representing the people when people are apathetic.

I think they don't believe in their ability to influence any decision and election. It could be a silent way of protesting against the current political system, or it could simply be laziness.
